So if I read what you wrote correctly the same video recording process on three different operating systems rashes MEP 14 & 15. We must therefore look at what you are recording and how...of which you have provided no information. Are you

RE: I get distortion when I play several instruments at once
Hi, You need to change your sound card, this is a common problem with the Creative line. Get a good external interface and forget the home user PC sound card, they're not capable of pro audio. You're exceeding it's capacity. Depending on whether

RE: [Closed] Cannot get DV cameras to work in MEP15+
What sort of cameras do you use? The JVC is a harddisk camera? If so, the way is to use the USB cable and Copy the files to the PC. The camera will be found like an external HD at the PC. Firewire is for tape-based cameras for real-time transfer.

[Closed] Cannot get DV cameras to work in MEP15+
I have two different cameras I've tried setting up to be able to capture DV files in MEP15+.  A panasonic and a JVC HD cam. I cannot get either to be recognized by MEP15+ all it tells me is 'cannot connect to device' or device not connected. I

Do you have a firewire connection? This should work with Sony cameras.

    I have a Sony HDR-HC1e HDV mini-dv camera.
I can get Magix (I have Pro Edit 15) to rewind and fast forward the tape and play it, but I cannot upload or output to or from this camera in HDV. I did not have this problem with my last camera, a JVC 3CCD mini dv camera. I keep getting the warning

What exactly are you trying to do? Sorry, but the information is really insufficient. We need way more information. Are you trying to perform a recording from a DV camera or from some analog source? Without more information, I can't really be very

RE: Importing 6 gb file But Only Recognizes 22-60 Seconds Black
I don't know what has happened to your project, but you say "In the actual folder the file still exists as an hour long AVI."  In fact, this file is never changed in any way by Magix. The program just uses References from the Original file. All you

RE: Exporting movie from Movie Edit Pro 15 to Sony Camcorder
Click Export movie, and choose 'Video as DV-AVI'. In a new window you must tell where on your harddisk to place the DV-file. After rendering, the file is saved and you are asked to start your camera ( I'm not shure if it should be in Play or Record

Hi again, Odd problem. I don't see why it wouldn't import something as basic as PCM audio properly. I just tried to reconstruct this scenario as good as I could by creating a MPEG-2 file with PCM audio in MEP 15+ and importing that file into

RE: how much buffer and memory do i need to run Music Maker 15 well
Hi, The ASIO driver is relevant to your sound hardware. It doesn't matter whether that's an on-board or PCI plug-in sound card inside the computer or an external audio interface that connects via USB or FireWire. If the hardware you're using

Hi Kevin, Sounds odd, but I'd definitely try to optimize the audio driver settings in the program first of all. Open the program settings in Music Studio 15 ("Y" key) and switch to the detailed "Advanced" mode. You should now see a tree view on

Hi Theodore, Can you possibly upload and post one of those MPEG files whose sound doesn't import properly in the Magix program. You said you analyzed the files in GSpot and the codecs were "correct", but what audio codec is it that was detected

RE: [Closed] does sound card matter?
Hi, Let me add some detail to this discussion. If you're recording your own music then your sound card is critical! I can't stress enough how important it is for recording. A PC sound card is NOT adequate for recording. Your 16 bit resolution is a

What sort of camera? Did you use USB before? I think there is no other way than using Firewire (IEEE1394) for transferring to MEP from a DV-camera.

RE: vista & sampletude = static?
I would look for the latest drivers for your Profire and install them, also make sure you're using ASIO withing Samplitude. Since your interface is Firewire (I think) then you can't use ASIO4ALL but the built in (preferably from M-Audio) ASIO should

    RE: HOW CAN I CONNECT
Well, if you mixer is also functioning as a full external audio interface, you'd just connect it via USB (or maybe FireWire), make sure the correct drivers are installed and then you can basically use it as your sound card. You'd just have to go

    RE: [Closed] difficulty importing video
Are you using a firewire cable to connect your camcorder to your PC?  The only way to dump a movie directly from camera to PC is via a firewire connection.  USB will not work for that.
