  @Reyfox, @CubeAce, @AAProds Hi What you have to remember is that MP4, MOV, MKV are container file formats, which can contain a variety of video and audio codecs. It is these codecs that can be the issue, eg for the MOV file format h.264/AVC, h.265

  @Reyfox Hi . . . .  The thumbnails are VLC generated. But dragging the clips to the timeline results in black preview, but the audio plays back. . . . The thumbnails are embedded in the video file header by the recording device - VLC is displaying

  @Former user don't sweat it. It appears the MEP2022 can not handle my 10bit 422 4K MOV files. It's not the end of the world, But the thing is, there are a couple of other consumer editors that do handle these files with no problems. But they do not

  @Reyfox Yep, i can't replicate that through any exporting/rendering/encoding devices i have, all my AVC render as 8bit 420, & .MOV MPEG-4 come out as 8bit. This is the closest .mov i can do, that comes out as ProRes with no Bit Depth showing,

  @Reyfox Yeah but i can't render AVC 422 10bit, mine say either MP4 HEVC 10bit 420 or .MOV ProRes 422 (Bit Rate shows but no Bit Depth)

  @Reyfox 👍 I've just spent ages going through all programs, converters & export formats, i can only export/render as .mov 422 or HEVC 10bit, but not AVC 10bit 422 😂🤷‍♂️👍

  1, HEVC 10bit loads no prob, 2. Prores ,mov 422 16bit loads but no sound, 3, Prores .mov 444 16bit just a black screen, 4. MPEG-2 HDV 16bit loads no prob,

  Greetings all! Using MEP2022 Plus. I've imported a series of MOV wrapped UHD 4K 24P 4:2:2 files to be edited and used. Camera is Panasonic G9. It seems that some of the video files have the appropriate thumbnail representations, while others do not

  As @johnebaker pointed out MEP does not export to 10 bit even though it can import such a file. The program does not contain,nor I think can handle the 10 bit colour profile for export which is not an option for MEP and is constrained to using BT

   Hi, the M8RA codec must have come with MagicYUV because as far as i'm aware i haven't consciously installed K-Lite CODEC pack, & sorry the mention of ,mov in my comments was a mistake, i was getting a bit mixed up trying to work & play on
