Poor picture quality on an SD TV
Hi, I have posted here in the past regarding poor picture quality on UKTV broadcasts on Freeview. I gathered that, because the programmes they show are SD, the poor quality was coming from the upscaling to the native resolution of my HDTV. So, as a

RE: Connecting HDMI TO SCART TO RCA TO...
@Doug-Burck HDMI is a digital connection, SCART is analogue. The two are entirely different. For your proposed connections to work and assuming that you wish to transfer your VHS tapes for computer editing, the analogue output of the VHS tape would

RE: Improve video quality with AI
@Alfns I too process a lot of VHS transfers, some probably worse than yours being VHS-C (the camera) to BETAMAX (wow, remember that?) to VHS to H.264 MP4. I'm lucky though as I still have some of the original VHS-C tapes to work with. Having said

MP4 variable frame rate and a possible "Cure"

RE: Help selecting a new PC
@mikerb use Freemake Video Converter to convert from mp4 to mkv Mike, unless you have a specific need for MKV, there is no need to "convert" to MKV. MKV is simply the file container and the underlying video codec will probably just be H264 (the

RE: Best resolution for a still from movie
@1940 The highest resolution you can get by taking still frame images from your video is the resolution of your video! Any upscaling needs to be done in an external "editor". (There are various programs that will do this, with different levels of

@skarvika Given the video codec is AVC, it's probably just the container (MOV) throwing Magix. In most cases, you can losslessly convert your MOVs to MP4s using AVIDemux so Magix can then open them, as per the guide on my website
