Possible to combine individual movies into a single movie?
I'm a new user of Movie Edit Pro 15.  I just imported about 25 GB worth of video from my JVC HDD camcorder.  PITA in that I had to transfer to my hard drive and then import file by file since I don't have a firewire.  I imported movie files as

RE: Where do I find the Presets for Samsung VP-D362
Hi there, How exactly are you connecting the camera to your system? I just checked out the specs of this cam on Google. It is a miniDV cam, but it also seems to offer a USB connection on it. Don't use that. It won't work with the DV capture

    RE: connection of camcorder
What the previous poster said is correct. In order to make any statement as to why it's not working, we will really need more details about your camera here. By "pitchfork", you probably mean the USB symbol. This could mean two things: 1.) You

    RE: connection of camcorder
I don't know what sort of cord you have, but if you have a DV-camera, you need a Firewire (IEEE1394) cord for the transferring. You don't tell us which program you use.

RE: Magix does not play music when my mic is plugged in...
MrLethal is right about ASIO4All - search for it and download it. Otherwise try to buy an external soundcard. Sound Blaster is great for games and movies - NOT for recording music. Most external soundcards works with USB 2.0 or you can buy one

RE: [Closed] How can I get the maximun resolution from a SONY Digital 8? It has 1394 fire wire but resolution is poor when the video is Imported
Hi, Digital capture of DV material via FireWire wouldn't really lead to any quality loss. Maybe what you perceive as low quality is just the way the material is displayed in the preview mode of the program. The result will probably be fine. You

RE: [Closed] Why won't Movie Edit Pro 14 recognize my DV Camcorder? Windows Movie maker will.
Hi again, Maybe right now you just need to work around the problem to meet your deadline. However, in the long run, if you want to keep working with this camera, you won't really get around a FireWire controller and cable. It's not expensive

    RE: need color!!!
Hi, How exactly are you importing? Are you connecting the camera via FireWire/IEEE 1394 and using the DV capture option in the program or are you possibly connecting the analog outputs of the camera to some kind of analog capture hardware? Just

How to connet to camcorder? Exact window and dialog box please!
Working in Xtreme PhotoStroy on CD & DVD 8 Deluxe - works fine - I want to export this show to my Sony DCR-VX2000 NTSC via firewire. I can't find the menue to do this and the PDF manual does not help.

RE: my captured video is jerky or running faster
Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like you might be dropping frames during the capturing process. Pay attention to the dropped frame counter and see whether you can confirm this. Regardless of whether it is actually counting dropped frames

RE: [Closed] How do I import video from my hdv camcorder ?
Hi, Depends on what version of Movie Edit Pro you're using. MEP supports HDV starting in version 12 or in 11 Plus (UK). It's not supported in the regular 11 or in any older versions. If you do have an up-to-date program version, this is what

RE: [Closed] Why can I no longer export HD back to my camera? MEP14
I see. Really seems to be some driver issue then. Naturally, rolling back the Windows update installation comes to mind, but that isn't really a very good solution either. You should keep of with Microsoft's Windows updates in the long run. Maybe,

RE: [Closed] How do I record a DV it won't let me?
Hi, Try updating your FireWire driver or even installing a new, decent FireWire controller (e.g. Texas Instruments). From my experience, this can make a difference as far as DV capture is concerned. Other than that, maybe Magix support can help.

RE: [Closed] Why can't MEP 15 seem to export 1080i to camera?
Hi, If the mixdown doesn't even start when trying to export via the HDV2/1080i preset, this might not have anything to do with the FireWire export process. Try this: When you're in the MPEG-2 export dialog, pick the HDV2 preset and then click on

RE: [Closed] Why can I no longer export HD back to my camera? MEP14
Hi there, If it worked before, using the same setup, it would be reasonable to assume that you could get it to work again. What I would recommend: Try updating your mainboard chipset drivers and/or your FireWire controller drivers. Possibly

[Closed] Why can't MEP 15 seem to export 1080i to camera?
After editing an HDV project I select Export as mpg-HDV2PAL-export to camera via firewire-OK, nothing further happens. However if I select HDV1PAL, which my camera (Canon HV10) does't support, it begins the expected mixdown and creates a 720
