  @Former user @johnebaker Hi to you both. I do not have any portrait taken footage to test but turning landscape images into portrait by rotation I cannot replicate this behaviour. Perhaps the orientation metadata of a portrait shot is not being read

  FYI: I installed iMovie app on iPhone and rotated video clip. Then I copied it to pc. I opened it in MEP and it accepted the clip in this format. Problem solved. Thanks again for everybody’s help Darrell B

  I re-installed program. Now it opens with no error code. However, the Rotation/Mirror drop down does not happen. When I click it, the work space is all that is showing. I have the object (clip) highlighted too. I use Windows Defender for AV.
