RE: Audio mixdown - Edit in External Audio Editor
@browj2 Hi . . . . Occasionally, depending on the version, when I right-click on the audio portion of a video clip, I see "Edit wave externally - Alt+Z." In the current version of MEP, I don't see it. . . . . It is still there on mine (17.0.2.166) -

RE: Does Video Pro X still Smart Render?
Hi . . . . .what does the main concept buy us . . . . In my case slower rendering, cannot be used with Hardware Acceleration and lower quality compared to the Intel HD codec. In my case:- Faster Software render - 2 to 3X in some cases, can be used

RE: Bug and comments on Smart Copy in Video Pro X
Hi Some good work has gone in here. My findings from testing Panasonic 50P clip which I have Intel software rendered with the frame counter effect burned in from 1 to 553 frames. This gives a 50frame GOP using the AVCHD Transport stream 50fps

Hi Eric, There is a note at the top of the forum to notify the programme version you are using and details of your computer and OS, which helps with understanding the problems you are having. However, I am unsure of what procedure you are using for

@peter-duke Hi . . . . I read statements on the web like "The first picture of each coded video sequence is an IDR picture." . . . . Did the poster of this comment qualify which type of GOP they were referring to, if not they should have. They are

RE: Bug and comments on Smart Copy in Video Pro X
@mindsong I have only tested software encoding. I am testing other software as well, and testing hardware encoding would double the work at least, and I am not interested in it at the moment. @johnebaker I am a bit confused at where GOPs technically

RE: Bug and comments on Smart Copy in Video Pro X
@peter-duke Hi . . . . . According to VideoReDo, the first two frames are B frames followed by an IDR frame (a special I frame) in both cases. Then follow a series of B and P frames (not the same) to complete the GOP before an I frame and so on . .

RE: VPX and importing dual-stream MVC 3D stereo formats - which work?
Hi, It's certainly possible that the original clip I posted was actually set to AVCHD and not the MP4 setting as I thought, as it was shot at the beginning of last year and I am not certain. I usually use the MP4 setting as I prefer the quality.

Bug and comments on Smart Copy in Video Pro X
I have Version 15.0.5.211 of Magix Video Pro X. 1. The bug. If you render an AVCHD clip (50i or 50p) that has not been altered, using Smart Copy (default or Main Concept codec) then the end of the clip is truncated by one GOP. If you re-render the

If smart render worked properly, then it would have the advantages of fast renders and minimal loss of quality, but it must be very difficult to implement reliably in video that uses interframe compression such as the various flavours of MPEG. It
