RE: Uploading DV tapes via USB
Your laptop should have the old standard pcmcia slots on one side. If so, you can purchase a pcmcia Firewire card, which are pretty cheap these days. It's not clear how useful this magix.info resource is. You should post your question at

RE: Uploading DV tapes via USB
You can only upload DV material into MAgix software via firewire. Don' quite understand the term upgrade if you don't have firewire, but, that's ok. All you need to do to get around this problem if you already have your new laptop would be to import

RE: Black and white and no colour - Product : Fiml sur DVD 7
Hi there, What kind of video capture are you trying to perform? Analog or digital? If this is a capture of a digital camera (with miniDV tape), you need to connect the camera via FireWire/IEEE1394. This is the only really supported option. If

RE: camera is not recognised by software
If you're still doing everything just like before (e.g. connection via FireWire and capturing via the standard DV capture option in the program), something might have messed up your DV/FireWire drivers. An application might have installed

RE: How do I record vocals on PC
Hi, I recommend one of two interfaces depending on whether you will use USB or Firewire. I've had some latency issues with USB (even 2.0) so I strongly recommend Firewire. Both of these solutions are affordable and I've used both so I can recommend

RE: how do i smooth my recordings
Sounds like you're recording with a computer sound card... this will never work good. I tried this with a SoundBlaster Audigy when my recording interface was down. It's terrible, that same sound you're talking about! Get a decent recording interface

RE: Décalage Midi - MIDI delay
Unfortunately ASIO will not improve MIDI latency... ASIO has nothing to do wiht MIDI. Ralftaro is right in that it will improve audio latency; just not MIDI. The FA-66 is a firewire interface so I doubt you're having any trouble with audio latency

RE: Why does'nt grabster av400mx connect to Sony Handycam?
The message you get doesn't indicate a connection problem between the Video8 camera and the Grabster 400 capture device. This is an analog connection. The software doesn't have any way of knowing what analog device is connected to the capture unit

RE: cannot connect my vidio camera to the software - have a cannan hd camera
If this is really a HDV camera (miniDV tape as medium), Firewire capture is the way to go. If you're having problems with the HDV capturing process, you might want to try a little trick of disabling the video preview in the HDV capturing

More information would be needed to help here:1. How do you connect the camera to the PC (Only Firewire, iLink is supported).2. What error message do you get.
