@jak.willis Hi Jak. Yes you can alter the pitch but not the timbre so would not really sound like a female without some work from the performer. It may also add some artifacts into the recording. MEP and VPX is not that as smooth in it's abilities

Voice changing

Hi, I still currently use Movie Edit Pro 2018 Premium, and was wondering whether or not there is a way to change your voice? For example, if I wanted to change my voice to make it sound like a woman or a child, is that possible?

A difficult task considering that the 1995 audio may have been recorded on VHS/BETA if a domestic recording - and not much better if on U-Matic or the like. You could try using EQ in SoundForge Pro to reduce the levels of the music frequencies

I'm trying to record a voice track on Music Maker 2019 using a nio 2/4 Novation. I can hear the recorded instruments on headphones and my voice through the mike. But when I press record I get a recurring error message that the device is being used

@browj2 Hi John. Thanks for the info. I genuinely didn't know that option existed. It is better than my first recommendation of using Widows voice recorder although it's still not the best tool for the job and not flexible enough for the requested

@1940 Personally I wouldn't try. I would play the track in Windows Film and TV and use the Microsoft voice recorder to sing into. Voice Recorder has the advantage of only using the mic input. Then import that track into MEP. Or if Magix Movie Maker

Orange Vocoder effect not exported
