    RE: Long photo moving pan
@Dave-Eric Dave, My method above requires dragging the selection box to fit. That is not actually needed. Click on the image, then on Effects > Camera Zoom. Place the Play marker at the start of the image, then click the right arrow in the

    RE: Zoom Assistance
@Austin-Miseque Sorry about that delay; had to get dinner! Gotcha. Use the "Camera-Zoom" effect (I don't use Size position for this, because we're zooming, not resizing or positioning). In summary, use the keyframe feature to set 1/the start

    RE: Long photo moving pan
@AAProds ...Don't use the section tool.... The beauty of Camera/Zoom Shot is you can section as well as pan. No, Camera/Zoom does not actually use Section. It just uses a rectangle with the same proportions (say 16:9) as the project, and resizing

    RE: Zoom Assistance
@AAProds Hi, I agree that Camera/Zoom is a very good and simple way to do a pan zoom. My point is that one should learn what it actually does by reviewing what occurred under Size/Position. I rarely do zoom/pans. The big use of Size/Position is in

    RE: Zoom Assistance
I'd like to be able to zoom in as the video plays for a brief amount of time and then unzoom.

    RE: Zoom Assistance
@Austin-Miseque Sorry Austin, I still don't understand what you're after. Do you want a static zoom on a picture or a "live" zoom where as the movie plays, you zoom in on the picture, or do you want to change eg shorten the time that a picture (or

    RE: Zoom Assistance
@Austin-Miseque Welcome to MEP! Double-click on the image, then over on the extreme right hand side, just above the timeline, you'll see a tiny clock and an input box. That's the duration of the image. Change as required, then hit Enter. 👍 or... Do

    Locked tracking stabilization
Hi, I'm a new user of Video Pro X11 (17.0.3.68), from HumbleBundle, so far best experience, performance and stability of several video editors I've tested! I was looking for a way to make stabilization tracking (). So far i found a way: I track a

RE: Unable to play MP4's, installed Quicktime damaged Magix software?
@CubeAce Hi Ray, Thanks for the insight and video examples, As I mentioned previously, I accidentally fell into this circumstance I find myself in. I've accepted that my 'mentality' is 'artsy fartsy' as I seem to have more and more trouble w/

RE: Unable to play MP4's, installed Quicktime damaged Magix software?
@Tusk @emmrecs Hi Jeff. Hi Anthony. I am getting exactly the same results as in the Canon problem thread. The file imports to both MEP 2021 and VPX11. Sound does not play in MEP2021 but displays and plays the video portion. VPX-11 plays the both

@DBoydNL Hi, I strongly suggest that you read the manual, look at the tutorials in Magix.com, look at my tutorials on Getting Started in MEP and Basic Editing Parts 1 and 2. As you were told, VDL in the English speaking world is Movie Edit Pro or

RE: VPX12 Mercalli V5 Suite upgrade?
@Scenestealer, @Andrew-Smith Hi I can see where Andrew is coming from with respect to which is better, however I would caution that the results are dependant on the video clip content. I did a quick comparison test of 4 stabiliser options Magix have

RE: Turn a 360 photo into a video
@Bruce-Rutherford Hi, Normally, you have to use panning on the panorama image like @AAProds indicated. However, you need to understand how to do keyframing and using the Size/Position commands. For a normal panorama, rather than the camera/zoom, I

@ProMagixUser I used VPX11, not 12. You said that you have had this problem for a year. VPX12 came out on June 8 - 2 months ago. So if you have had this problem, you would have had it in VPX11. Also, you say that "these actions do not work in the

RE: [Closed] Bugs not fixed for 1 year
@johnebaker Hi John, The OP says that this has been going on for a year, so I don't think that the new "feature" is the problem as VPX12 is very recent. Using VPX 12 to do what you did in your first video, just using the text button, not a template,

RE: Turn a 360 photo into a video
@Bruce-Rutherford Gday Bruce, I assume you mean panning across the image. In that case: Set up your Movie Settings to the desired output eg 1920x1080 PAL 25FPS Click the image on the timeline to highlight it Place Play Marker at start of

RE: How to crop a portrait video to get rid of the black bars either side?
@weedavy6969 If don't want any side bars (black or otherwise), use the "Section" effect. First, go to File>Settings>Movie (or hit the E key). This brings up the settings for your current movie/project. At the bottom, in the Video Settings

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
Iv'e been working with Magix support in order to isolate the crash issue I have. I tried running on one graphics card at the time, i.e. only the Intel HD 4600 or the AMD Radeon R9 280x by disabling the other one. This didn't change anything. I've

@johnebaker Hi John. Thanks for checking! At the moment VPX is exporting a 2 hour video file so cannot check again for a little while, at least. Once completed, I will try opening another "old" project and see what happens with that. I'm not sure

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
@browj2 @johnebaker @Scenestealer I think the .82 patch has introduced yet another bug! This, for me, is repeatable for both "old" (pre-82 patch) and "new" (post-82 patch) projects: there are no image objects shown on the video timeline! Thus,

    RE: Black area
@derek-williams Hi Derek. I think what John needs is a more expanded view to be able to see frames and if any, waveforms, like this example, only more zoomed in so that anything written in the tracks can be read as well. It can then help make more
