working w/media from various sources and choosing frame rates
I tried to find this (going through the forum). If it's been discussed, please provide a link to the topic with the answer. I have a gopro hero 7 set on 30 frs (which I just found out is really 29.97). I also have an iPhone 16pro which can do movies

RE: Creating a frame for a video clip in timeline
@Lillian-Fidler So making them slightly smaller and adding a frame. Another way: put your image/frame on track 1 (the uppermost track on timeline, but the lowest track of the video); Drag your video onto track 2 In Effects, choose Size Position

RE: Edit pro 17 rotation/mirror effect
@AAProds Hi, I agree with @AAProds in that some files need converting first before importing into the editor, this isn't unusual esp with phone footage but as mentioned there's other things to take into consideration, iPhones are auto set to record

RE: Poor result on still image travelling
This has been an interesting topic for me as I have historically never even thought of upping the framerate for slideshows; I only became aware of the "calming/smoothing" effect of higher frame rates with my recent journey into VHS

RE: Title templates
@Gid Hi Gid. All programs have default settings upon opening and for MMS and VPX that appears to be the traditional landscape orientation. If you don't tick the 'use settings as presets for new movies' in the Movie Project settings section, then you

RE: Glow/Luminance on white shirts (VHS-MP4)
@AAProds, The original is 658 MB, and not sure why that mediaInfo says 634. But here it is. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14TOabuPl5zgX9F4y-PdzFC2ziJucLFSX/view?usp=drive_link Maybe I did something to that file I thought was the original...but

RE: Image Sequence
@johnebaker Hi John EB, Can you check if VPX 16 prompts to import as a 'single object' - mine does not offer the option? I may be missing a step on testing. For me, this only happens when using Windows Explorer to drag and drop many selected images.

RE: H264 Export Frame Rate of 16.67 Possible?
@browj2 Excellent stuff John, I'll be interested to see if I can get close that quality. I see the frame pattern 1,2,2,3,3,4,5,5,6,6,7,8,8,9,9,10,11,11,12 but I guess that is the nature of the beast, changing the frame rate. Magical memories, for

Thank you for taking the time to explain all of that. I truly appreciate it. I think I will have to break up the long video into several videos but won't be removing anything from it. It's a continuous recording of a family visit where 1 of them has

RE: Problem with exported DVD
Now I remember. 😂 If you have a 25fps timeline and insert a 25fps interlaced file (ie 50 fields per second) and then, in the Video object properties choose bottom field first or top field first, that's all you'll get, not the other field. If you

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@clement5 Hi . . . . This is curious because 23976/1000 is so close to 24000/1001 that there should be no difference in total time for a movie a couple of hours long . . . . The difference would appear to be 'insignicant', however, for every hour of

The rest of the thread has been on unrelated discussions about codecs. @AAProds Yes I can read, I stand by my comment, all you know is "mp4 format" which your discussion shows that gives pretty much no information & "Length: 02:06:00, Frame

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@clement5 Setting 4:3 should just compress the output horizontally while keeping the vertical at 480 to have a realistic picture. Never! should a program automatically squash a too-wide video into the selected frame size. You can use your TV remote

These are a continuation about ongoing problems for many years plus some bad ones as of the last update. 1. When exporting a standard NTSC video with frame rate 24000/1001the resulting AVI has rate 23976/1000 and does not line up on the timeline

I "still" don't understand. Why are you exporting stills from VDub? If you export them (or otherwsie process them in a 3rd party program) at the display frame size of your Magix movie setting, you will not have a problem. For example, if your movie

"smart resample" + copying individual frame equivalent to movie plat?
Couple quick questions... a) How does one capture a jpg "snapshot" of the current spot in the video? In movie studio platinum 14.0 - there is a little clipboard icon that you simply click on, and it copies an image snapshot of the current location
