Hi . . . . MEP 17 vers. 16.0.1.22 . . . . Please do not abbreviate the program year designation, ie from the version number, you have the Premium version, sometimes called Movie Edit Pro 2017 or MEP 2017, this causes confusion with older version

RE: VPX(8) Arrow overlay image - mirrored - gets truncated
Hi John CB . . . . Wherever I have the arrow object below a text caption (Blue 2), as soon as I deleted the mirror effect on the arrow, the caption went upside down. . . . . What is the sequence in which you did this? I cannot replicate it. . . . .

Newest effect features in Edit Pro
I wasn't planning on getting the latest edition of the software, as I have last year's version (as well as an older version of Pro X) but got a tempting update offer and demoed just to see if I would be missing anything... Much to my surprise, I

RE: Animated arrows, circles, squares, callouts: Does Magix have them?
I use Video Pro X. For editing, adding titles, effects, audio, etc. it is great. Just remember that, unlike most other programs, track 1 is at the bottom of the pile and overlay objects on tracks 2 and above come on top of the lower numbered tracks.

Here is an example of my brush circle @browj2 Your brush circle looks good. I would call that an animation with a transparent background. But I would not know how to create that myself. Is it some kind of png file? I know how to make a png file in

RE: Reshaping a human body on a video without using Ghroma Key
With or without the chroma key facility it sounds over-ambitious for MEP alone, IMO. I've not used them but there are various morphing or warping tools dedicated to this sort of thing. i could imagine using MEP's distortion effects on a static

RE: png or jpeg
Hi That is actually a difficult question to answer if you already have the photos in both formats on your hard drive. Assuming the following: image transparency is not required the original image source is a digital camera the images are not RAW

RE: png or jpeg
Hi @ YR . . . . png is not compressed . . . . PNG is a compressed file, however the compression engine is a lossless one similar to the Deflate option used in Winzip, 7zip and other compressors. Inflating a png file may not be so processor intensive

Hi, If you use a scan at 120 dpi, may be 4 x 6 inches, 24 bits this is the same to use either jpg or png. But if you use a scan and output png in 32 bits you can use a transparent background the only advantage transparency the size today is not

RE: png or jpeg
Better for what? Yes .png files will be a larger size than .jpg, partly because the png specification requires more data to be saved. (One part of this is that 32 bit .png files allow transparency, so one can use e.g. the image of a person from

RE: How can I change my video background from a plain white to a plain slightly darker color using Magixx Movie Edit Pro 2016?
tom174, This might work... Place the video clip on two tracks -- I'm using a .jpg image here. Give the lower track a 'White Box' effect and adjust it so only your plain white becomes transparent. Adjust the 'Brightness' setting
