RE: Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
Good Morning Peter, The export drop down in 'Programme Settings' is set to 'Default' which will be the Intel and I usually use the User defined MP4 1080 HD 25fps Pal setting which I have found is the most compatible for our wedding video clients

RE: Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
Hi Roger I am seeing the HWA message appearing now when rendering to AVCHD, but not if I have effects on the timeline You should still see the message but yes, in cases where the clip has some heavy "CPU only" effects (like Mercalli stabilising) and

RE: Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
Hi Roger HWA should also be occurring for mp4 files as well as AVCHD. . . . .but not if I have effects on the timeline . . . . Some effects will not/can not be rendered using HWA. I am not seeing any issue with crops, pans or zoom HWA is used with

RE: Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
Hi Peter, I am seeing the HWA message appearing now when rendering to AVCHD, but not if I have effects on the timeline, which seems to tie in with another post. When I first installed VPX, I initially loaded a previous project to test rendering

RE: Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
Hi Roger The second problem I have noticed is that rendering out to MP4 or AVCHD seems to take twice as long as VPX7, that is either using my nVidea GT740 graphics card, or the graphics on the I76700 CPU. With the claims for higher render speeds on

Intermittent Error Message On New VPX installation
I've just upgraded from VPX7 to the latest VPX and all is running ok for normal working with two exceptions. 1) Every so often I get an error message popping up. I can't take a screen grab of it as it stops any other actions, so I wrote down what it

RE: Losing Projects
My only other thought is an issue with AVCHD files because all the times it has happened is when I have used my Sony or Canon cameras.Other edits using MP4 or TOD files have been fine.I only use the first 2 on wedding shoots and they are the only

RE: The Audio mastering feature isn't working in MEP2018 Plus
Hi Try it on a short test project first and if it works then, load the AVCHD you just exported, apply the effect and in the AVCHD export dialog, Advanced settings select Smart Copy. This should only re-render the audio and copy the video with no

RE: The Audio mastering feature isn't working in MEP2018 Plus
I can't tell you what version it is, because I'm in hour #8, of an 11.5 hour AVCHD render, and I can't access that screen. However, every single time I open MEP 2018+to work on a project, I always check for updates, and I'm sure I have the latest

RE: Saving, Exporting individual edited tracks in VPX 2017
Hi Craig Rule 1 is to avoid transcoding or re-encoding of compressed formats during the post production chain as John EB has mentioned, so based on that and the fact that you may not know the final delivery files format or the additional processing

Ah, thank you so much, Peter. I will have to experiment with Smart Render and perhaps Smart Copy. Can you elaborate regarding ProRes... Are you saying that the higher resolution of QX (as compared to HQ) would be pointless to me when starting with

RE: Saving, Exporting individual edited tracks in VPX 2017
Hi Craig I think what you may be looking for is to export your AVCHD video material to AVCHD (Mpeg4 H264) using "Smart Render" or "Smart Copy" selectable in the advanced encoder settings from a VPX export template. If your footage has only been hard

Hi John CB I would update or reinstall your graphics driver although I see you have quite an old card. I think the latest driver for that series is a Beta - Crimson 16.2.1 from early 2016, but it does support Win10. I had an issue with the preview
