  Thanks, that's what I thought of doing if a fix was impossible. Strange though, that this hadn't happened before now. My alternative software is Audacity. Lots of very good tools and effects, but nowhere as good as SF for tight editing, as said.

  I check for updates every day. Vegas 22 works fine so I would think soundforge 18 would work. Vegas is the software that is most updated. Sound Forge 18 has not received an update. If Magix has no interest in Sound Forge, then Magix should sell it.
