RE: vhs capture with green line at bottom
@mark-perry@mark-perry Hi Mark. I totally agree with John. The Kasierbaas is behaving normally and the peak level that I found in the video didn't reach 0dB. It was just under, showing left at just -1db and right at -2db. You didn't say whether the

RE: vhs capture with green line at bottom
@mark-perry Hi From your previous statement . . . . Kaiser was way into it red with no medium or low levels at all . . . . The Kaiserbaas audio levels look fine - they are just peaking into the the red and appear to be just getting to 0dB this is

RE: vhs capture with green line at bottom
@mark-perry Hi . . . . the captured video also blinks . . . . That is called dropped frames, old VHS tapes that are worn or old are prone to this, the colour banding you also see in the image is either an indication of a worn tape or video heads in

Will not record MIDI
Using Acid Music Studio version 11.0.10 Build 21. I cannot get Acid to record Midi from either the soft synths directly or when using an external controller keyboard. The soft synths make sound but nothing records. I tried following various

@FF22, @terrypin Thanks for the download Terry after a little playing with it there is a potential solution. In MEP 2016 I get the phantom audio and title, in MEP 2020 I only get the phantom audio. To fix this in 2020: Locate the track with the

RE: Movie Edit Pro Plus - how do I add 3rd party VST FX?
@CubeAce Be sure to review Part A in the previous thread first. PART B How it works 1. In MEP, you can use various audio editing programs as the external audio editor by changing the path to the executable of the program under: Image 9 As I said, I

@Skyline_UK @emmrecs @browj2 After doing an extensive importing of all of my early Steinberg vsts' I found only the earliest ones will work fully within the audio internal Music Editor 3. I am talking about going back to plugins that worked on

RE: Lowering volume of MAIN audio track to allow another to predominate
@johnebaker Hi John. I shut my PC down at the end of each day and turn everything off at the mains as I have an awful lot of other equipment that rely on external power supplies that I don't like switched on. The room I use has its own dedicated

RE: Using Soundforge 12 to rip sound from DVD playback?
The DVD likely has some kind of copy protection, but that should not affect recording the soundcard's audio output. I think 'Video Redo' can open the DVD media files on a copy protected DVD.. though I not not totally sure. If you are seeing the

@ulflson Welcome to the Magix forums. This "sounds" rather like the problem of mis-matched Sample Rates. Can you download and install the free MediaInfo utility and point it at your video file on your computer. Please copy and paste to your reply

RE: I created an oddball mess with keyframes
@FF22 That is definitely an audio volume curve showing. Yellow is a hand drawn or slider controlled volume, The green is pan. Check your 'Show curves' and untick any showing and the Pan line should go away.

RE: Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
@Craigster Hi IIRC mp3 compression is a constant compression technique the only thing that changes the compression ratio is the bitrate - which is not as complex like video which requires more complex techniques then audio to maintain quality. . . .

RE: Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
That depends on what the edit/render cycle is - these files are a compressed format and every time you re-render them you lose a bit of quality. This gets to the heart of what I wanted confirmation on. I'm an audio guy. I know what I'm dealing

RE: Launchkey Mini MK3 and Qwerty Keyboard - No LIVE/PREVIEW sounds.
Unfortunately, that made no difference. So you think I should get an audio interface and plug the midi controller in using that? Honestly, I'm more inclined to believe it is a limitation of MMM2020 than anything, since live sound preview works fine

RE: Launchkey Mini MK3 and Qwerty Keyboard - No LIVE/PREVIEW sounds.
Try this: set a track for midi recording, play a few random keys, stop recording, undo recording. Then you should be able to hear the instrument. Hopefully. Midi stuff always seems to work better with an external audio interface than with internal
