    RE: Videos on Picture
nirvanray, This looks like a rather complex use of 'Alpha' or other channel effect ('Effeects' tab >> "video effects' >> 'Chroma key') where the image on one track determines whether you see the track above it or the track below.

RE: Blurring a small portion of the video
levifiction, I'd suggest using three tracks (ignoring any audio) with your normal video, a copy with the blur effect throughout,   and in between a suitable black and white imge that gives you the shape you need for masking. Apply the 'Alpha'

Black line when zooming on alpha image
Movie Edit Pro MX I have inserted a bmp image.  Name is in multi-colour blue.  Background is green. I have set the Chroma Key to green. I have the image zooming in from 100 to 400 percent over a couple seconds. As the image begins to move,

RE: Loss of title when burning
Not sure if this would make any difference but isn't Track 3 "reserved" for titles ie the default position. It may become important in the burn phase. Maybe it doesn't detect an alpha background in track 1. Try pulling the title down to track 3

RE: Video Pro X4: Import AE or Blender sequences...?? How..?
Hi You have to export to avi with an alpha channel from  for example After Effects. VPX will recognise the alpha channel and use it. John

Video Pro X4: Import AE or Blender sequences...?? How..?
What does it mean when the Magix web site says: "Exchange with other post production programs - the integrated alpha channel support of avi files in Magix Video Pro X4 enables sequences from composting and 3D programs such as Adobe After Effect or

RE: Can I import transparent images (.png) in Video Deluxe MX Premium?
Hi I would guess you are putting the png files on a higher track than the image/video you want to show through. For transparency whether it is chroma key, alpha or an image with a transparent background it must be on a lower track than the the

RE: How do I do cicular picture in picture?
Hi Create a black/white image double the resolution of the video you are creating (this gives you smoother edges) as shown - this will become the alpha mask   import this image on to the timeline on a track below the background

RE: color correction: red and black
Hi Try this:- 1. Create a 100% red image the same size as the movie resolution in an image editing program. 2. Import this onto the timeline below the video you want to colourise and stretch it to the time length required. 3. Select the

    RE: super-impose a picture into a video
holland_derrick, On the one hand it's dead easy! You simply put the face on a lower (high number) track on the timelines and adjust its size and position to match what it covers. The hard part is that your head has to be on its own

RE: can i replace background part of the video (still frame) with the picture (matte)?
hofno, The picture in the top left is relatively easy. Simply place a properly exposed version (still or video) on a timeline track below (higher number) your scene where it will preview in front. Then adjust its size and position using that

    RE: Tracing a track?
Terry, The only thing I can think of that might be a little easier is using an alpha track: Track 1 -- your title page without the path highlight Track 2 -- a simple B & W mask which you keyframe animate so that the dividing line

RE: Changing ONE colour in a bitmap.
Terry, I can't think of anything in MEP the would change just one bit of text color. I tried a small alpha mask between your original and a copy with 'Effects' >> 'Video effects' >> 'Color' set to 100 red, 100 green and 0 blue.

RE: How can I create the Sin City Effect or Colour Pass effect with movie edit pro 17HD
Hi You need a black and white mask of the rose to create the effect. With video on the timeline this can be tricky in maintaining mask alignment, with still images on the timeline it is easy. The image below shows how this can be done. 1.

RE: Can VIdeo Mattes be used in MEP 17 +HD
The answer is yes they can. I finally figured this out. In MSP 8 I had the color of the center circle black. However I was able to assign this center circle as a video matte for the clip I was transitioning to. With MEP, I had to change the color

RE: with MEP15 can you possibly use a green screen for special effects? and if so how.
wiseguy, The tutorial John found is excellent for getting the best possible results but I'd suggest in addition a simple 'suck it and see' approach to get you started with MEP. You can even try it with a couple of still images. Use timeline

shadow13524,   Can't say for MEP16 but for 14 & 17 the procedure seems to be to first select a default layout to get your background, font, borders & buttons, and then go to 'Composition' (MEP14+) or 'Order' (MEP17+) to choose the
