@Peter-Futschik Hi Peter. Glad to hear it is now working for you and pleasantly surprised you can edit 4K footage using Microsoft WARP with your processor without the need for proxy files. Proxy files may now be created a bit quicker than before if

@Peter-Futschik Hi Peter and welcome to the user to user forums. It would help me and other users if you specified your processors full ID. Make and model / generation. The same would go for the graphics card. Both may now be under-powered for the

@DesertSweeper Hi. To clarify are you saying you use MEP 80% of the time and VPX 20% of the time? Pretty much, yes. Maybe because I started with MEP and it is cheaper to keep upgraded, but also because I like to get my footage as good as possible in

@DesertSweeper @browj2 Hi. The reason @browj2 asked to make sure you get Mercalli V5 with VPX 13 should you decide to upgrade is because you will lose the ProDad Mercalli 2 image stabilizer. It's a good call over the standard Vegas option. Unlike

@DesertSweeperYou saying. My computer seems fast enough with the older version and I am happy to leave it rendering while I go for a walk. That sentence really has me worried. I'm hoping that is for something like an hour or more of video footage

@DesertSweeper Personally if it were me I wouldn't upgrade if the version you have is stable on your system. You say your editing is basic and needs are few. As others have pointed out, the main difference is the Infusion engine which is a lot more

What am I missing out on by sticking to V17
I bought Video Pro X on a whim in late 2017 and instantly hated it, finding it difficult to grasp. I had moved from CorelVideo"pro" that is a breeze to use, being supremely intuitive for idiots like me. But it was horrendously unstable and produced

Issue to exporting videos to 4K
Some reason I cannot export MPEG-4 videos on higher resolution (example: 3840x2160 29.97fps or 4096x2160 29.97fps) only make 1920x1080 29.97. So I'm able to make it FullHD but if I adjust the resolution (nothing else) to UltraHD than the program

Thanks very much for that advice Ray - as you have no doubt guessed, I'm new to video processing. The projects I am working on are new to 2022 and were created in 2022. They are made up of 20s clips of infra red night footage taken by two trail

    RE: MPEG-4 Encoding - 7-Hours!
Have you tried externally converting the footage from the camcorder to a constant bitrate? I have never converted files to a constant bitrate. In fact, I would advise against doing so, as you will be re-encoding the video and inducing generation
