RE: Cleaning up source VHS video data, noise, frame slipping etc -
@g4bee Neat Video in action... This was a one-click analysis. There are many fine adjustments that can also be made. It also does a good job of countering cine film flicker. A couple of tips for using Neat Video: - select a consistent area such as

    RE: Intel Graphics Drivers Advisory
@CarpentersMate Hi Mike If you disable the iGPU then you would not be able to access any HWA with MEP16 and I would find this very frustrating no matter what material I was working with. Upgrading to MEP2022 might be an option but then your Nvidia

RE: Creating a Section in MEP2022 21.0.1.104 (Post now includes 119)
@Former user Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me. Perversley since I first commented, the section HAS worked as it should on occasion. I can't put my finger on why that is yet but I do know that various "pre-treatments" had been applied to the picture

RE: What am I missing out on by sticking to V17
@DesertSweeper Hi. To clarify are you saying you use MEP 80% of the time and VPX 20% of the time? Pretty much, yes. Maybe because I started with MEP and it is cheaper to keep upgraded, but also because I like to get my footage as good as possible in

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@kate-m Hi I agree with @CubeAce on the need for substantial support/bracing for large green screens in even the slightest breeze. Other issues arise from the mixing of daylight with artificial lighting eg: In sunlight or bright overcast days the

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@kate-m Hi Kate. What they don't show you is the amount of braces and stage weights or sandbags at the back of those panels for outside work. Don't underestimate the amount of force in even a slight breeze on such a large surface area. Unless you

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
Greetings Ray, I read what you say(?). The original file is a continuous shot from my camera on a tripod so tree positions etc are not a problem. As for "the goal for the end result" there isn't one really at the moment. As I said I've been playing

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy. Superimposing is running several clips together so that they all play at the same time. Can be useful for fireworks displays but is that what you want to do for a lightning storm? Sequential clips shortened and edited together to

Hi Ray: There isn't much I can't do with the GIMP, but I've been using it for seven years. But thanks for the ray (no pun intended) of hope. Slowly but surely I'm getting the hang of the Move Magix program. I know enough to make simple things. But

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
As Ray mentioned earlier, what I was really looking for was the equivalent of a cloning tool. Cookie Cutter does the job nicely, but I can't help thinking a cloning facility would be simpler to use - and surely not beyond Magix's ability to

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@browj2 @Richard-Curtis Hi In my image, I cheated to get a more blue sky. I created a mask in Xara and applied it in VPX with a bit of blurring. I modified the sky of the part that shows in the mask to be more blue. Of course, this becomes difficult

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@browj2 Hi John The image I originally posted is about as bad as it gets, which I see didn't escape your attention😀. Yes, I apply NV to virtually every Super 8 clip, but this image is raw without effects of any kind. I did the Cookie Cutter trick

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip

@johnebaker Hi John, I don't use the Glow effect either, but it has the colour picker. The better alternative would be the one under Title. I played around with Glow a bit to see what it does. On my desktop, VPX grinds to a halt. Ok on my Surface

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@CubeAce Hi Ray, The question was how to identify the colour. John EB is the expert here. I suppose that once you know what it is, and the sky in Richard's photo is about RGB= 0.55=140, 0.58=148, 0.48=122, then if you know what it should actually

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
Hi Ray Here's the problem. This artefact goes all the way through the film, changing its shape and definition a little as it goes, but basically similar throughout. The sky does indeed vary from clip to clip within the film, and most of the clips

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
