@freds_28if I believe these are only assistance files that store information about edits or waveforms. Do you also have the WAV recordings? I suspect the WA0 and WA1 files are the WAV recordings of the first and second track and the HDP file is the

@Gerald-Shantz Hi Thanks for the clarification. . . . . copied the files from 7" reels to cassette . . . benefit to "importing" the MP3 files into SFACL4 as a wave . . . . Good question given the dubious quality of cassette recordings. I would

I do not recall any reports of this occurrence with PCM files, so it likely is a lossy file issue. As @SP. stated, enable "Always proxy compressed formats" in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu. Or.. render a PCM (wave) file and resample

Midi files cannot be converted to wave.
Hello. My name is Mike. 08/16/2024 I purchased Magix Samplitude Music Studio X8. When I started working in the program, I found that midi files are not converted (not exported correctly) to wav. The Wav file is saved, but it turns out to be empty

Hi @Richard-Holland,You could create a new mono file in Sound Forge and copy the track-1 waveform from the poly file and paste to the new mono file and repeat for tracks 2,3,4However that may not be necessary, Acid 'may' be able to open the poly

@johneb and @johnec Wow! I can see how ignorant I was. But that was all that I knew. As for MP3 vs wave, I knew that wave took approx. 10 times more file space, and I knew that there are losses for that kind of compression, but since none of this is

What are you using for this? The built-in DeNoiser or a third party VST like iZotope Voice De-noise. There are others. John CB Truthfully, I didn't know exactly what iZotope Voice Denoise was, so stayed with what I was familiar with. Having no

RE: trying to save a music file and getting error - Soundforge Pro 16
Lossy (data compressed) file types such as MP3, AAC, ect. require codecs to render (save / encode) a file and playback (decode). PCM (Wave) files are not compressed and do not need a codec. Wave is the preferred file type for editing and processing.

@SteveMTNO Crash in rthdasio64.dll is a crash in the ASIO audio driver. I also created a 40 minutes 25 seconds 192 Khz 24 bit file and filled out with white noise. I can edit, save and load and copy and paste and set markers and it works all fine.
