    RE: video files
@john-m4987 I take it that you are using the trial version of Photo Manager (please, do not just say Magix) which most likely has limitations on Codecs for certain types of video files, like MP4. Do you have any avi or wmv video files that you can

Thanks everyone! Yes, I have quicktime installed. I have both MAGIX movie Edit Pro 2013 and MAGIX movie Edit Pro 2021. When I tried to convert the file, I didn't make any adjustments. I can try that. I tried converting the file to various formats

    FATAL Errors during Ray's Benchmark
Ray's Benchmark (the 2 Minute Tech Tips) runs fine on my machine. (BTW, I just upgraded to an i5-9400. So now his benchmark is down to 16 minutes, from the 18+ with my old i3-8400.) But since I missed seeing how many minutes the benchmark took to

RE: Preload freezes when I try and run a MP4 from the timeline
I had this problem as well for these video formats. If you download a program like Handbrake or some other free video converter, you can convert your native MP4 into a format like AVI or WMV or M4V or something else. One thing to watch out for when

@kvok Hi . . . . which codec to choose? . . . .  export the video to H.264 and then used Chroma key in MAGIX to get rid of the black background as a workaround. . . . . The Codec format on the Alpha channel videos I have that work as intended

RE: Crash on importing ProRes video
@kvok @johnebaker Hi I think the the only one that will work in VPX will be Uncompressed 32Bit (w/Alpha) AVI. I doubt Vegas Movie studio would support professional 10bit 12bit 444 formats. Be aware that VPX12 18.0.1.89 appears to have removed some

RE: Crash on importing ProRes video
@kvok Hi AFAICS Video Pro X (VPX) does not support Pro-Res 4444 video format ie ProRes 444 with Alpha channel. VPX does support import of video with Alpha channels, however only in AVI format. You can try converting the MOV files with

RE: Default export files - Very large AVI
Hi, uncompressed file like AVI is too big for nothing, use mp4 format 1920 x 1080p and 8000kbs bitrate or more to export your video. You can use a video converter to create a compressed mp4 to the quality you need. Regards, YR
