RE: Choppy playback in Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus
I am not sure what to tell you there, my playbacks in Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus are good. Although any large MTS files (AVCHD) can cause choppy playback. By choppy I mean that the audio is playing back but it seems the program is having trouble

OK, so your encoder settings were already right (you don't need to use 15 for the encoder quality, there's almost no difference between 12 and 15, it just takes MUCH longer to encode) and there should also be no need to change the other settings

I've been converting my DV AVI videos to 24p (23.98p) so as to get the 'Film Look'.  They look great, but does anyone know if Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus supports burning a 24p file to DVD?   I've heard that it can be burned in the NTSC format

RE: how can i record the video from my camcorder ?
For a Mini-DV camera you need a Firewire cable. There are 2 types, 4pin/4pin for a Laptop, and 4pin/6pin for a stationary PC (normally). Hope you have Firewire contact on your PC. Then you can transfer (capture) the file to the PC with MEP.
