  @mr_ You got old stock from Sony, even if it was new in box. Sony's version works differently. The Common folder was set up by installing another Magix software, for example Music Maker. All Magix softwares share this folder.

  @JamesBay There is no unlimited license. You need to buy the commercial licenses for each Soundpool you use in your songs once. There is an Loops Unlimited subscription, which let's you download all Magix Soundpool loops but you cannot use them

  @Ollyy You can try to reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu. If you cannot get there before it is crashing try to reset the program settings by deleting the MusicMaker.ini file in the folder
