    RE: Move Studio PLatinum 18????
@jason-whelan The basics are the same, but it takes some work to understand where everything is. I find it more intuitive than Vegas, but that's just me. For audio, see my tutorials on Everything Audio in MEP/VPX, in particular how to use the

RE: how to edit/ trim within a frame/ smaller than a frame / incrementally
@kate-m Hi, First, it is not possible to edit video to less than a frame. You can't have a portion of a picture. In MEP, it is not possible to edit audio to less than a frame either. However, it is possible in Video Pro X. For you in MEP, there are

@Radoslav-Feja Hi . . . . Align with other audio objects on this track . . . . For video objects - use Video/audio on separate tracks (Ctrl + H) first, if the video/audio is on one track only then right click the audio track. For audio object -

"Align with other audio objects on this track"
Where is this item located? I have been working with the program for 7 years in the 2015 version, there was no problem. Now, after purchasing the 2021 Pro version, I don't see it. Please advice or screen.

RE: Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
@johnebaker Yes not just a still image. Let me explain more: It's training material that uses slides. Rather than building rigid animations into the material using educational software that takes way more time, I use static slides, and I use

RE: Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
@CubeAce I'm focused on the syncing, and I want to keep dragging a segment until a point of interest in it matches a point in the audio. When that's achieved the segment might end up overlapping with the next one, and I need to handle that. Let me

RE: Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
@Basel-Shishani Hi I am assuming that you are creating a 'live' drawing/illustration video to go along with the audio, and not just using a still image - is this correct? If so then:- . . . .  the desired functionality: ALT-KEY1 with mouse drag

RE: Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
@CubeAce @johnebaker Okay, so I guess the reason such a useful feature not having been implemented is the cost of recalculating the scene in real time while one object is being moved. But what if only the content of the dragged video-object itself

Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
Greetings community,   The way MEP behaves now: When dragging a video object, MEP previews at the point of the head of the dragged object if there's overlapping objects, otherwise it shows a blank screen. What I would like to achieve: position the

RE: Audio - video offset function
@k9vet Agree! You can't have "Audio-Video Offset" in a video program. 😀 What you can have is "Audio Offset", which is what this box actually is, and what it should be called. Knowing that, you're half way there. To "advance" the audio ie when it is

@Dopamine No problem. It is a little tricky to get started as a beginner. You can always check out the PDF manual in the help menu. It is several hundred pages long but has a lot of pictures. Or just ask for more details if our explanations aren't

RE: how to edit/ trim within a frame/ smaller than a frame / incrementally
@CubeAce Hi Ray, Originally I could right click any audio object on any track in MEP 2018 and edit the wave file externally. Nope, it was well before that since it worked last properly. We had established that you were using proxy files at the time,

@browj2 Hi John. Sorry I didn't realise I would have to solo a track or not be able select a single object within a track. Originally I could right click any audio object on any track in MEP 2018 and edit the wave file externally. My only option now

RE: how to edit/ trim within a frame/ smaller than a frame / incrementally
@CubeAce Hi Ray, Please don't try to make the feature do more than was intended. As per the manual, a mixdown creates a stereo wave file, "optimized" meaning normalized. It normalizes the result, not the audio of each object as you seem to imply.

RE: Underlying differences between core Samplitude Studio and X?
@Former user  I know that the numbers of VST instruments is limited much more per project in Samplitude Music Studio than Pro X (if I'm right you cannot use more than 16 or maybe 32). Music Studio does not offer VST MIDI out for VST instruments.

RE: how to edit/ trim within a frame/ smaller than a frame / incrementally
@kate-m As I mentioned, you can't edit video to less that a frame - there is no image in between images. Video is captured at a frame rate selected by you in the camera. There are X images (photos) taken per second; when strung together, you get

@browj2 @kate-m Hi John. Following your advice is not currently possible in MEP 2021. I'm not even sure if it is possible in the last few versions of VPX. Do a mixdown of the range by using the shortcut Shift+D, save to a name/place (I just use the

@Jordin-Mayo Hi, Looking at your image, you still don't have a real J-cut. You have the audio on track 2 overlapping the audio on track 4. There is no need to put the second clip on track 3. Do like I showed in the tutorials. For now, hold down the

@Jordin-Mayo Hi, Other than what John EB mentioned, I don't see your J-cut. I see an overlap of objects on separate tracks. You should have audio and video on separate tracks. See the Bonus part (at about 12:30) of this tutorial to see how to make J
