  I also can confirm that deleting the .HO file solves the waveform issue. We have some really great people on this forum helping us to solve these technical issues. I cannot say thank you enough. Once the update is issued hopefully these work arounds

  I can confirm Scenestealer suggestion to delete the file extension ".HO" for files you do not have the "Create wave form display" for. I had the video clip "20180606163127.mts" in a project with no waveform, nor the option to "Create wave form

  Try closing the program then go to the folder where the clip is stored and see if there is an .HO file with the corresponding clip number. If there is one delete it and reopen the project and see if the create waveform option has appeared.

  Hi No problem, the disappearing waveform is normal behaviour when using a speed ramp and keyframes. I think the audio waveform is, in effect, a still image which is why it does not disappear when you adjust a whole clip as I did. HTH John EB

  Opps, sorry for not being specific about the issue. If I change the speed for the entire video clip, it behaves like yours. I uses keyframes to speed up partially the video, so 1st part is 2X and then it goes back to normal speed for the rest of it.

  Hi . . . . Yes,I hear the audio when I play the timeline. They are MP3 format. . . . . That rules out DRM in iTunes. MP3 files do not automatically create the waveform, despite the option to do so being set in the programs settings - WAV and OGG
