If this occurs with lossy format files (MP3, AAC, ect.) enable "Always proxy compressed formats" in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu. Playback and Record buffer settings are in "Options> Preferences> Audio" menu. The default

RE: [Closed] Exporting objects as MP3 using object names
I have found the best solution to exporting audio sample that uses the same name for the exported file as the object in question. Right click on the sample and go down to wave edit. That brings up your sample in a new window. Right click again,

RE: Core Audio Format (CAF) File Support
CAF is an Apple format, similar to a (BWF) Broadcast Wave File, which can be a multi-channel (poly) and can contain metadata like a TC stamp and other non-audio info). I have never encountered one. VLC should be able open it where can be transcoded

RE: Creating multi tracks for SF 16
Hi @Wendo-Wen! This is not a feature in the Sound Forge programs. Sound Forge is a wave form editor...you can record files such as podcasts, voice overs, etc, but it is not a multi-tracking software. If you need multi-tracking, you should try

    RE: SINE Player
unfortunatelly Sine Player doesn't want to work in Acid. Vst2, Vst3, it doesn't even work in wrappers (metaplugin, bluecat patchwork) :/it's a pity because orchestral tools make some quality stuff with top notch freebies as well.I suspect Sineplayer

RE: Audio Buzz in Windows 11
Is Audio Studio 16 incompatible with Windows 11? Hi @Jerry-Munk, most folks have no problems with SF on Win 11. I assume you have already tried restarting the PC and switched to an alternate audio device type in "Options> Preferences> Audio".

    16/24 Bit Exporting
Hi everyone, Is there a way that we can export our audio as 24 bit files? All I can see is 44.1 or 48 as option... I noticed within settings that there is a 16 & 24 bit wave driver selection within the audio settings however I'm not sure if that

I’m looking for any help I can get, the Sony Wave hammer was my favorite tool and is part of a great majority of my songs. Are there any vocal compression Vet’s or solutions that you have? Also, I’m getting a lot of random errors that pop up, one is

Hi Steven, A couple of questions. What, exactly do you want to do? 1. Edit the audio part in Audacity (cleanup, add effects, etc.) and update the original audio in Movie Studio? 2. Use the audio outside of the video editor for other purposes? Hi

I am not familiar with Win 11 @eric194814. In the Windows sound settings, confirm that 'Stereo Mix" (or similar) is the default Record source. Try a different audio device type in SF "Options> Preferences> Audio". 'Sound Mapper' or 'Classic

    [Sound Forge] - [Acid 4] - Wave Hammer - sfhammer.dll - need X64 bit
Way back in 2004 thru 2007, - I used Acid to record about 40 multi-track songs. [I thought that musical effort was lost to time] because over the years the Acid Version I had would not support more recent USB I/O's - [no drivers available].

RE: I want eight stereo channels playback together
hi @Clark-Wilson! the sound forge programs are wave form editors, so while you can record, you can't do multi-track recording. for that you will need something like samplitude or acid. hope that helps!

You are welcome, I am glad your issue has been resolved.Windows Classic Wave Driver is usually trouble-free and a ASIO driver is usually not needed with Sound Forge.
