  I think most effects in Sound Forge are DirectX plugins. Most of the legacy Sonic Foundry and Sony plug-ins are DX. Track FX, Express FX plugs, delay, EQs, reverb and time stretch.. among others.

  @Derek-Davidson Which paths are in your VST paths settings? If there are paths with DLLs other than VST-DLLs program might crash, of course. DAWs usually know the standard VST3 paths because these are standardized and mustn't be changed by plugin

  Sound Forge 17 Pro - Fx Plugin render adds 170ms to end of track
  Hello, I am having an issue when I apply an Fx_plugin_chain to an audio sample. I am using Fab Filter Pro-Q3 to run a Low Pass Filter on my audio samples and after completing the task, I am noticing that Sound Forge keeps adding 0.170ms to the end

  @browj2, yes, I am aware of the Paintshop Pro/VideoStudio Pro and Pinnacle forums that have sprung up with the demise of the "official" forums. As for Scorefitter, never really used any of the music. Smartsound with Sonicfire Pro was my choice. Ever

  @dpizza The limiter is usually automatically on so you don't blow your ears out or damage your speakers/headphones in case of a very loud noise. If you don't need the compressor, in case you use a different compressor plugin, simply disable it.
