  @Former user I just remembered, I do have the Resizable BAR thingee set up in the BIOS. I don't understand what it actually does but I assume it's the thing to do; the one of the driver update processs gives a message saying to enable it.

  Bingo! It was my ASIO driver. Somehow I had changed it to Wave Audio. I may have done it outside of the program in Windows settings. Anyway, thank you for your help, John EB and SP.

  @William-Middleton Ok. then you need to check the manual or the online help of Casio. You probably need to install a MIDI driver first or connect your keyboard with an USB cable, so that "Casio USB MIDI" is availabe.

  @Thistof Make sure you have selected an ASIO driver in the program settings. This is mandatory for VST instrument live monitoring. Also set the track with your VST instrument to MIDI REC.

  okay, I reset project settings and stuff, didn't work. Set the ASIO drivers, now there is static on my laptop when I play audio even when Music Maker is closed, lol. I'm gonna reboot my computer and hope that fixes it.UPDATE: Reboot fixed this issue
