RE: Controlling playback - need options
@BSMan Hi, First, in Windows Explorer, go to: C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Video Pro X\13 and open Shortcuts_EN.pdf, print it out, go through it, and keep it at hand for quick reference. There are a couple of errors, but you probably won't find them for a

@BSMan When playing, hit the up arrow. The playback marker will return to where it started. 😉 As for the #$%^& that took out the feature start/stop feature of the up and down arrows, thanks for nothing! 😂

The entire video is about 4 minutes. Around 3:20 of that contains video, and it still gives that error. There is only one marker at the very beginning, which the menu module placed for use by the menu. Don't remember if that is a chapter marker,

You do not have to select the markers. If you want the markers to stay with the data that is already on the timeline, lock the markers to the selection. Are the markers in the copied data you are pasting in? Gap? Are you editing in the 'Event' edit

Not working. When I do the cut, the markers still stay in place but the waveform shifts to fill the gap. I want the markers to follow the waveform as it shifts down the timeline. Maybe I am not doing it right? Do I have to select the markers I want

Keeping Markers in Sync during editing
I have a long waveform with a bunch of markers, but when I remove a section, the markers don't move to keep in sync with the waveform. Is there any way to lock the markers to the original placement relative to the waveform?

@CLINT-DANBURY Hi . . . . Edit >   Edit range   >  Insert blank space  . . . . This does not do what you want. This command inserts a blank space on track 1 where a range is selected, if there is an object in that range it will be split and

@VideoPro If you just want to duplicate one or more objects and put them on another track, first make sure that you have a track to put them on, then select all objects on the track that you want to duplicate, hold down Ctrl and drag straight down

@CubeAce Here is an illustration showing both a range and Project Markers. Project Markers are automatically numbered. You can jump to a particular Project Marker using Ctrl+1 to 0 - up to 10 PMs where 0 is 10. Otherwise you can use Cttl+Shift+PgDn

@CubeAce Hi Ray, Those are the In and Out points of a Range, not Project Markers. Project Markers are not the same but simply markers to which you add a name. They do not affect recording or playback, but are just visual points for the user. John CB
