  @segvinc Hi and welcome to the forum. See the product comparison here. If you are editing video for commercial ues eg TV/ cable broadcast, then Video Pro X has the features required to meet broadcast standards, these do not exist in Movie Edit

  No, this feature is intentionally missing. It works in Samplitude Music Studio. There is a workaround. Create a non-looping MIDI-Object over your whole song. Place the red playback line at the beginning of a small midi object. Open the MIDI editor.

  @kenny-turner Also, did you activate your 2016 version in the 2018 version? This should give you whatever you had with 2016, but there are some that you may have to download and install. You may want to upgrade to the 2020 version which is free.
