How t bring in video footage from a JVC camera that used SD cards and then dragged and dropped on WD hard drive. They are quicktime.

The problems with MP4 can also stem from the multitude of manufactures using it. I have not had problems with the H.264 MP4 so, it might be a codec issue from the read and playback conversion from the JVC. All my footage is in MTS, this

Hi. I've tried to use MEP16 to edit MP4 video directly, without converting to magix own format (.mvx). Each time I try, exported files end up with stuttering audio... The audio is taken from the recordings made with the camera

how will i capture hd tape?

I like to use the MagixPro 15 plus but it won't see my JVC DV camera.
I have the Magix Pro 15 Plus.I can't Capture because it doesn'tfind my camera,a JVC DV with harddrive.I am using the firewire connection. It tells me that it doesn't see the camera.It looks like nice software but only when i can use it. Help Hank

I hear you too... the simple fact is a video player and a video editor is a different beast and handle HD video in different ways. I perosnally use Corel video Studio x2 and I have the same problem with the H.264 codec as do many Pro-sumer video

What sort of cameras do you use? The JVC is a harddisk camera? If so, the way is to use the USB cable and Copy the files to the PC. The camera will be found like an external HD at the PC. Firewire is for tape-based cameras for real-time transfer.

I have a Sony HDR-HC1e HDV mini-dv camera.
I can get Magix (I have Pro Edit 15) to rewind and fast forward the tape and play it, but I cannot upload or output to or from this camera in HDV. I did not have this problem with my last camera, a JVC 3CCD mini dv camera. I keep getting the warning

RE: MOV file codec
I believe you're referring to MOD files, just as the other poster suspected. "MOV" is just part of the file name. It's not the file type/extension. So, the files from your JVC camera are MPEG-2 files. They cannot be imported into the "Silver"
