  @Copper-Dragon The software will work "forever". The Soundpool loops are included for a whole year because it's a one-year-subscription. That's a good way to test everything and find the loops you like. You can then get a separate commercial license

  In the end I didnt want to bother moving files around so I ended up using a commercial mixer - that exports an Ultra 24 bit 48k version as well as HQ 16 bit 44k and Medium 256k mp3 versions.

  @Patrick-Fox What do you mean with Soundpool 1 to 20? Do you mean Soundpool Collection 1 to 20? If you still have the CDs and DVDs you can use Collection 1 to 16 commercially without any additional license. Check the EULA text file on the discs.

  @richix There is a difference between royalty free usage and commercial usage. Soundpool Collection 11 and 15 are can be used commercially. Video und Fotoshow Pools and Music Maker 2014 Soundpools are definitely not allowed to be used commercially

  @big_guitar Freeware apps like VLC might include decoders like they want. I'm not sure Magix can do this as a commercial software and probably Apple no longer offers licenses for Windows usage.
