    RE: Stops working after udate
@Wengsman Hi. Even with Windows 10 it barely scrapes the minimum requirements. I personally don't think it will be a good experience. You will suffer stutters on playback possibly even using proxy files or pre-rendering and long export times if

RE: Ozone9 issue with latest SF15 update
Thanks for the reply, I am able to work around this somewhat by just boosting the line in levels in Ozone but it usually is too hot of an input signal for my taste, whereas before this update it did an excellent job of knowing how much hard limiting

RE: MEP 2016 Plus - Successful VOB - But No Sound
Hi Alwyn - Thanks sooo much for the PDF! BTW I've been using your recommended MPEG2's for the VOB extraction/conversion and they're working out fine thanks... Only one thing regarding use of the wondershare MPEG2's in FC on the Mac, they all require

Ozone9 issue with latest SF15 update
(I am 69 and my vision is not good and I am having a hard time seeing the gray fonts in this website. so bear with me if this is not correct as I have never posted here before.) I received an update to SF15 and all went well with the update as it

RE: Program Constantly Freezes. Can't Use to Edit.
@CHRISTOPHER-COURTER2554 Hi Christopher. First. If you are still getting the 'Exception 0xc0000005 "ACCESS-VIOLATION' then you should read this Microsoft support article first as that appears to be a Windows issue and not a Movie Edit Pro

    RE: Considering Upgrading....
@Former user Hi, Thanks for confirming what I thought. I installed Boris CC Title Studio that I got when it was free, and it is still terribly slow in VPX13, even with my new hot machine. At least I get smooth playback after Preview Rendering,

RE: A native limiter on SFP?
Aside from Wave Hammer (I and II), I see a few "limiters" listed in "Fx Favorites> Organize". All of the "Compressors" listed can also be used as a peak limiter. Which reminds me1980s NYC AES show (sarcastic) question card "is the compressor

RE: Upgrading Processor to i7 Using MEP 2016 Plus
Hi again Ray - And Thanks Again ... "So you may get away with running an i5 but I personally think you should go for a later model with faster ram" Just to be sure, (and sorry to be repetitious), I'm trying to move away from this i5, not salvage it.

MM Premium cannot shift pitch of loops using keyboard * and / keys
In the 2021 version of MM, I was able to shift the pitch of loops in real-time using the * and / keys on the numeric keypad. This no longer works. Is there a new hot key? Is this broken for everyone? Is there a fix?

    RE: video clips don't play
I have never had a system crash because of a CPU overheat. I thought Intel CPUs throttle themselves when they get hot so they don't crash (or "destroy" themselves). Before I changed to a liquid cooler, my i5 would run for hours at 95° during

    RE: Searching For Pause
Hi, Hot Rraud, Do you know the answer to the question I ask here? It could just be dialing back the native one to neutral and using the vst2. A little light on it sure will go a long way to alleviating buyer’s remorse, later. Can ya help?

RE: my project is suddenly very slow & crashes often
@kate-m Hi Kate. That is a very old system to be running MEP 2021 on with anything but the simplest projects on. The processor is now 10 years old. Even if it has an Intel GPU it can't be used as it does not support Direct X 11. I felt forced to

@browj2 Hi John. If you are not gaming then you really don't need to overclock. It may well come with its original cooler but that does not mean it can't be replaced or that it will not get hot due to a high a continuous load during exporting or

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@johnebaker Hi John. It depends on how the camera is set up. For night time astro stuff the sensor stays active and produces a (negative) image it combines with the taken frame to produce a noise free image. Not that the sensor suffers much from

@johnebaker @kate-m I like sparring with John verbally as we often seem to have equally valid but opposing views and I think (hope) a mutual respect for the others point of view. I agree a camcorder is capable of obtaining a good stills image. I

RE: Proposed new computer specs for using VPX
@browj2 Hi John CB The CPU fan header is for the CPU heatsink fan (or fans) only. The system senses the presence of this during startup, and controls the RPMs to regulate air flow as necessary. You always need fans in a Pc case. There needs to be an

RE: Proposed new computer specs for using VPX
@browj2 one rear fan is not enough to keep everything cool on the inside. You need front fans on the case too. What CPU cooler are you going to get? Intel's run hot. I too would opt for four RAM slots. I have 32GB (16x2) and still have 2 more

@browj2 Hi John Some EVGA PSUs are equipped with a feature called "Auto-Eco Mode" whereby the fan will only activate if the PSU gets hot enough. This is distinct from other EVGA PSUs with (manual) Eco Mode, which have a switch to manually enable or

RE: Does Sound Forge 15 have punch and roll?
@Peter-Brooks, recording in SF is not as intuitive as punch in/out on a pro reel-to-reel machine but it can be done.Without having a manual (*hot-key) to punch-in on the fly, which SF does not currently have without a custom *script, you will have
