    Video picture flickers
Dear tech support,   I have Rescue Your Videotapes - version 7. Over the last 3 months I have not been able to successfully convert any videos whether VHS, Hi8 or DVD due to a technical issue that has risen up and that is I get flickering of the

RE: H.264 output to bluray is jittery on moving objects
Thanks @johnebaker for your answer. FYI, I think we can rule out transmission error as the primary problem because the missing frame problem occurred fairly repeatably. And, as I said, it also seems to be a capture problem with b-frames. Which only

@ALBERT-ORONA Hi and welcome to the forum. . . . . DCR-TRV280 NTSC work with Movie Edit Pro 11 on a Windows 10 Home PC . . . . . This combination is very unlikely to work: The software (Picture package) that came with the camera enabling transfer by

@AAProds Hi Alwyn . . . . OK John, time to step up and put your cards on the table . . . . 4 Aces and a deuce😂 I have mentioned what I use many times in the forum - ScreenCast-o-Matic (desktop version paid for) - this one captures in 2 stages -

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2021 is out - New features
@SevCardy @johnebaker You were, correctly, being more accurate with your terminology and referring to the actual encoding process that happens as part of that (i.e. what shows up as "Video Encode" in the Performance chart). Sev - Not more accurate

    RE: Shaky Playback
So, when I say shaky, I mean, stop, stuttering, the picture vibrating. The closest similarity would be playing a dvd with a scratch on it. All the videos that I have captured using Bandicam are this way. I have old ones that I captured years ago

Driver for red USB video capture
Where can i find a driver for the red USB video capture? I am not able to see the preview picture (only audio), and the recording is very bad quality. I could not install the driver on the dvd, so I downloaded one I found in a forum. Seems like it

@dipy Hi We need more information: Your computer specification and MEP version number - see this topic for details of what is required, include the Nvidia graphic cads model. Is this a new install or upgrade to MEP 2021, if not was it running OK

RE: Stepped lines on imported images/jpg edges
@Former user Hi This effect occurs when you display a picture, captured at a high resolution, in a lower resolution medium. "Jaggies" as they are called are caused by the throwing a way of line pixels, so that a diagonal image line across the

RE: How can I convert movie made in 2006 with BUP, VOB, IFO and MVD files?
Phew! Then you have got quite a task ahead of you to get some reasonable picture quality when starting from that point, and I would say that Neat Video plugin would be essential. I do not have it but those de-noising programs often have a sharpening

RE: How can I convert movie made in 2006 with BUP, VOB, IFO and MVD files?
@lauriemessage @emmrecs @johnebaker I just found what appears to be the original source of the 8mm files. They are on a VHS cassette. We must have copied them onto a computer in 2006 and that's how the MVD movie was created. Phew! Then you have got

RE: Extremely Slow Rendering (Hardware acceleration not working?)
@CubeAce@CubeAce @browj2 The second file (mine) would encode much quicker. Not the least because it contains virtually no picture data at 540kbps! I assume this is a recording of a static desk top? As a matter of interest how do you set the bitrate

RE: VHS to digital via Firewire problem; MEP 2015
All, No, you can not improve picture quality purely by increasing the amount of data as you have already found, but, if you render your edited DV-AVI to a lossless codec like Lagarith or Huffyuv for archiving, the quality will not get worse. It will

@AAProds@AAProds @browj2 "Low quality originals require even more effort to preserve that low quality" That's verging on an oxymoron Al! 😆 Still, I think I know what you mean, but what ever Jim saves it as it is still a transcode because the ADVC300

@hdrechsel18 OK, I will immediately "declare an interest" in this thread, since I do this sort of work "professionally", i.e. clients pay me to transfer VHS (and other types of analogue and digital footage) to DVD. To me, the most "critical" part of

example 1 - i used an external capture video for my own PAL VHS tape, the second clip was during the capture. it guess was caused by the in-between signal during the 2 tapings. example 2 - another one i'm trying to work on this is a NTSC widescreen
