    Yes, that bassline was played with a bass guitar.  It is a single bassline (as most are), so the there are no "chords". In MMM, you would open the Vita MIDI Editor, select one of the Electric Bass instruments, and re-create the bassline

  Only one input can be chosen as the recording input device in Windows/MMM.  The computer mic must be currently selected as the recording input device.  You will have to change it to your guitar's USB connection.
