  UPDATE:The answer is no. Movie Studio 2022 is a completely different program that does not fall within this upgrade. You will need a VEGAS Movie Studio software or above.

  It turned out that the instructions I was given didn't mention that I needed to redownload the new upgraded version of Music maker rather than just upgrading the free version which is how I expected it to work. once I did that the coupon worked.
