RE: Setting the start point for a stopwatch / time code
@AAProds Hi Alwyn. Under Title templates there are seven (in my version) of them MEP Premium depending on what you need. I can put up a 'How to' video tomorrow for you if you wish. This is how I do them (rough guide, more can be done if needed).

RE: How to apply the ''Vegas 360 stabilization'' feature to video in MEP??
@Apollo89x Any electronic or software based stabilization works by zooming in on the image. Even within a camera such as a Go-Pro, it is done that way. Mechanical stabilisation works by sensors measuring camera shake and then making the camera lens

RE: Many, many things wrong
John EB, You "would have implicitly understood" the whole Save as and file name thing. Well, I am fairly new to this particular version of MEP and despite you disbelieving me, I had already encountered things that made (make) no sense in the

RE: Setting the start point for a stopwatch / time code
@David-Nash Hi David. Cut the clip at the point you want to add the timer. Add the timer to the new section. Cut the clip again where you want it to finish. Alternatively add the timer to another track and start and stop the timer by dragging to the

RE: Long photo moving pan
@AAProds Hi Alwyn. Try working backwards and start at the end of the clip and see if that improves things. Also sometimes Key markers are not always automatically placed on the timeline and you have to add them manually. Also are you zooming in

RE: Problems with footage
@CubeAce Hi Ray . . . . most of the footage we see others using would be with gameplay online and maybe being streamed at the same time. If that's the case, will this setting work? . . . . In theory yes, however the reality is going to depend a lot

RE: Problems with footage
@johnebaker Hi John. After you posted your findings I went back to my earlier recording and tried editing that again. It worked. No additional movement of the contents, Audio always in Sync. So it seems that I don't need to see any M= or N= symbols

RE: Problems with footage
These are the logs for the gaming clip in the video that I posted today. I wake up at 4:00 am so I can be productive in the mornings and so threw on the game to record some test footage to see if it would still be problematic, saw that it was being

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
After fiddling with everything this morning, I was finally able to repeat @johnebaker's results, checking the smart-copy checkbox, and immediately getting an error when I tried to use my existing footage. I had never realized that the "Presets"

RE: MEP2021 - inserts random frames in middle of clips
@AndyMo Hi Andy. Similar but mainly from screen capture devices, not cameras as much, so far. Some mobile phone footage can also throw up problems. Look through some of the recent threads. It won't take long to find people with similar

RE: Unable to play MP4's, installed Quicktime damaged Magix software?
@Tusk Hi Anthony. You should consider investing in a 3 axis motorised gimbal for your phone. You will not then have to worry about shaky video footage any longer. It is not the shaking that makes the main difference but not consistently shooting at

RE: Unable to play MP4's, installed Quicktime damaged Magix software?
using a smart phone for video is one of my 'pet peeves' about using the right tool for the job - no offence intended as I have had to resort to mobile footage on one occasion ie when could not hold the video camera steady enough in up to 120 km/h

RE: Unable to play MP4's, installed Quicktime damaged Magix software?
Hi . . . . iPhone . . . . It could just be some kind of glitch w/ the file and Magix not liking each other :P . . . You are correct - they do not like each other and using a smart phone for video is one of my 'pet peeves' about using the right tool

@moonreaper Hi From another topic with a similar issue it is beginning to look like this is an OBS issue - see this comment and @CubeAce comment immediately after about OBS. If you have a Nvidia graphics card have you tried using Shadowplay? John EB

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
@johnebaker I think where VPX seems to be dropping the ball (not sure about MEP), is making it clear what needs to be done in order to achieve smart copying and/or smart rendering. If VPX can actually smart render h.264 content (or as it calls it,

RE: Problems with footage
@nicolas-r @johnebaker Hi. It could be an intrinsic problem within the way OBS Studio produces its files. It's quite a complex program when it comes to settings. I had a look at the OBS forums and it is awash with people complaining about syncing

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?

RE: VPX - I want to record and edit for Youtube and use Smart Render?
Thanks so much for reaching out. I figured the MPEG-2 might be where I need to look next, but I still have some questions! I can't just slam my clip into a new project and render using the MPEG-2 renderer and match the settings. That still seems to
