    Rendering artifats
I have been using Video Pro X for 2 years now. Why does this editor continue to disappoint me? I know I have a consumer camera, but it is a 3 chip. I record in the highest quality. I finish my edit and it looks good. I go to export [render] it and

    RE: Archiving Mpeg 2 as 1920 x 1080 25p
Hi Seamus My take on this:- However, I always like to make an archive in a format as close to the original as possible. Filmed 720p25 footage has an MPEG 2 720p25 archiving format. But 1080p25 doesn't - amazingly! Even within Blu-ray, there's no

Hi. MEP Plus, but which exact version? Please check under Help>About. The most obvious thing to try is adjusting the colour and brightness/contrast controls, but in MEP these are quite limited in scope. VPX gives you rather more control and

    RE: MPG vs. 1080P
Hi Kami A higher frame rate is used to give you more fluid action and panning in progressive recordings, rather than having an effect on detail or sharpness. The thing that is relevant to compression, when you set a target bit rate in your export

    RE: MPG vs. 1080P
I didn't realize that the frame rate referred to *compression*. I thought it referrer to showing more *detail*, which is why I thought the 1080P at 60 fps would give me better picture quality than 1080I. So far, I don't see much of a difference.

    RE: MPG vs. 1080P
So it appears you Kami are the only one who can export MPEG2 HD at 59.94FPs as I found the same 30fps limitation as John EB experienced. These were cleaner than the same ones exported at 59.94. I am not surprised that @ half the frame rate it was

I found a solution that seems to work well on the few projects that have lots of action - movement. I export as .avi, which is not lossless (uncompressed) but it is not a GOP structure like MP4. The link below exported in .avi was 25gigs, but almost
