    MEP vs Photostory Deluxe
Good morning... I just bought Photostory Deluxe and started reading the forum posts. I "may" (still undecided) be adding video clips to a wedding slideshow. I've watched a few tutorials here on this site and the author has consistently mentioned

RE: VPX11 - Color Space, Color Space Correction, Instruments Meter Setting
@johnebaker Hi John, According to what I have learned, details in the whites above 100 could be lost, that is, everything above 100 would be crushed. The example given in one case was a white wedding dress; some of the definition of folds and lace

RE: Can't Move Objects freely - they keep snapping to points
I'm struggling to understand the problem here. I sync camera sound with voice recorder sound for every project, mainly weddings but also theatre productions and music. Recording at 25fps in PAL land means that the most the audio can be out of synch

RE: Can 1080 and 4K video be mixed in one project?
All of our wedding work is a mix of 4k and 1080, we just set up a 4k project then render out to 1080. The one I am working on at the moment has 4 parallel video streams, 3 in 4k and 1 in 1080, plus two separate audio tracks. Much of the 4k footage

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
As an example, you could record the general stereo sound of a busy shopping mall with people passing buy, background chatter etc. To that, you could add your subject talking to a friend in a close up shot, which would need to be recorded in

RE: single frame from a video?
I take about 40 stills from each wedding we film to add to the end with credits. Both the methods described by YR and John CB are of course correct. One thing to check, is to make sure that when you click Ctrl+alt+J(B) for a jpeg or bitmap, that in

Here is a screen grab from a school production that I am working on at the moment. This is typical of the way that I work with all theatre productions, schools, weddings etc. In this instance I was using 3 cameras at the back of the school and a

RE: Problem with stereo3d export side-by-side
The problem with 3D export is unlikely to be with MEP as I have exported quite a few 3d videos over the years from Fuji W1 and W3 and JVC TD1. The problem is usually that different players, particularly tvs, seem to require different formats. I

RE: Hit a snag using Osmo Pocket with MEP/VPX
I regularly shoot multi cams for weddings and stage shows using Panasonic FZ1000s in 4k and 4k Gopro clones. There are sometimes small gaps between files, but I overcome that quite easily by using the audio synch facility to synch the audio from the

RE: Can people please list their useful third party effects here?
@CubeAce Hi . . . . getting stable video when moving around . . . . Depending on the 'moving around' method, the most important aspect is to provide a stable platform for the camera, in addition to having a camera with good active image

RE: VPX problem with Rotation/horizon levelling
Hi Roger Some of the add ons which are licensed from third party suppliers also seem to be time limited or just don't work. For example, Mercalli V4 is a great stabiliser, but it needs re-licencing every couple of months. I don't understand that, V4

    RE: 2704 x 1520 30fps?
Poor output quality is often due to low bitrate for export. I like to use MediaInfo (freeware utility) to find the bit rate of source video and set export to similar. Setting a lower bit rate will result in reduced quality but setting a higher bit

Hi Duncan, The output settings can be whatever you choose for the final render. Presumably you are looking at 1920x1080 for your output, so you need to decide what output settings you use. As I am in PAL land, I usually output long wedding files in
