RE: What should I be setting for bit rate, etc. for max export quality?
@AAProds @Wayne-McIlvaine @browj2 @johnebaker Thank you Al. My response to this query was due to the use of the wording of 'max export quality' in the topic title. While I agree with everyone that the presets on average do an excellent job does not

Hi Wayne. There is no one answer to your question and possibly no-one but yourself will be able to get the all the answers. For the Blu-ray disc or TV I have no opinion or recommendations as I have no personal use for either. As for uploading to

No sound out after upgrade to build 121
I just installed the latest upgrade to SF 15, build 121. After this upgrade, I get no sound out when playing any .mp3. I restarted the system, removed then reinstalled - same issue. SF sees all the playback devices. SF defaults to the magix low

@Scenestealer, @Zeustar Hi Peter . . . . Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity with Spectral Band Replication . . . . AAC LC with SBR was standardized as a MP4 profile in 2003 for HE-AAC encoded audio and like you, I have rarely seen this standard

@MineJOT1, @emmrecs Hi Thanks for the clarification that removes a potential issue. Is the video tape/player an NTSC device? If so, some of the banding and colour variation I can see in the image is/was common with this TV standard and digitisation

ACL= Audio Cleaning Lab SLP (SpectraLayers Pro), was originally developed by Robin Lobel and published by Sony (or was it Sonic Forundry) along with Sound Forge, Vegas and Acid, and subsequently acquired by Magix with the other SCS A/V apps. However

@browj2 Hi John I now leave the 3 device option settings set to my RTX 2060 on both PC and laptop, the Intel iGPU kicks in when needed. The Histogram chart does change as Sharpness is increased, how much depends on the %age increase and the content

@DesertSweeper Hi. To clarify are you saying you use MEP 80% of the time and VPX 20% of the time? Pretty much, yes. Maybe because I started with MEP and it is cheaper to keep upgraded, but also because I like to get my footage as good as possible in

Thank you, Jeff. I have recovered my lost Magix-generated .mph etc files from an old backup on a stored USB drive. But I still think it is worthwhile for others, and especially Magix themselves to see the consequences of their deliberate policy.

@CubeAce Hi Ray, MEP has fixed EQ bands unless you have another audio mixer to hand. Do you mean another Equalizer, not audio mixer? If you have another EQ (64 bit), then are you using it in MEP as a plugin? John EB and I both have and use Melda

@AAProds Hi Al. You would need a parametric EQ filter you can sweep and keep narrow. MEP has fixed EQ bands unless you have another audio mixer to hand. I am willing to give it a go from my end later if you wish. Ray.

@AAProds Hi Al. I think if I was re-encoding this again I would be more concerned with the really annoying electronic signal in the opening shots and try to reduce that with a narrow band filter as it would not interfere with the vocal
