  Thanks for your help, The socket i'm connecting to is coloured red but has a micro phone sign next to it. Is this correct? My last laptop it was a line in socket but this lap top doesn't have one, it's a sony vaio vgn-nr10e/s. Thanks Kenny

  No sound when recording from screen
  I am using Video de Luxe 15 plus and Windows Vista  . Sound hardware is REALTECK ALC 880 integrated on base. When I record video screen from internet video, I can grab video perfectly, but not sound . I can select micro or line only in the program
