RE: [Closed] Feedback on Movie Studio 2023
I am deeply disappointed on Magix Movie Studio 2023 because exporting to MP4 to play my TV does not work. Using free software such as Movie Maker Video Editor and Microsoft ClipChamp produces a valid MP4 that I can play on my TV. I have asked help

@MarkAnders Hi Mark. The more complex a program you buy, the easier it is to get the wrong result for a given problem due to the more choice of exporting you have than a simpler program. You may have chosen an export setting that has produced too

@browj2 Hi John. Don't get me wrong, we have two working Blu-ray players left in the house connected to the lounge and kitchen TVs as well as two CD players in other rooms but seriously can't remember the last time anything was put into any of them.

RE: How to fix or smooth de-interlaced content?
@jak.willis @me_again The BBC does not own the UK terrestrial transmitters and has to bid for channel allocation against competitors. Bandwidth and power are limited as the same frequencies are used by France and countries further afield. The UK TV

RE: How to fix or smooth de-interlaced content?
@jak.willis But if the content was broadcasted deinterlaced, how can it be fixed? As I said in post 2. Try exporting it as MPEG 2. It will be re-interlaced. Whether that will actually improve the viewing experience, only you will be able to

@Kjell-Bjrnstad HI . . . . Sony MVX10i . . . . The MVX10i is a Canon camera - is this the one you have? If so see pp 37-39 of the cameras manual for the connection options for playing back on a TV, these also apply to capturing to the PC via a USB

@johnebaker Hi John, Many thanks for sticking with me on this! The client left me 5 VHS tapes; 4 have transferred and exported to DVD without problem (though no discs burned yet), 3 are single-layer, 1 is dual. The two-tape set is indeed a part 1

@jak.willis Because if I’m encoding in 720x576 then it will be throwing away some pixels - am I right? Surely the answer to that largely depends on your original files. If the source of those files was anything above 1024x576 then pixels surely

@MME007 Hi . . . . Look at the movement itself, jerky on 25 and 50 fps, smooth on 30 and 60 fps.. . . . One thing to consider is the monitor refresh rate, by default it is usually 60Hz, ie it is the frequency at which an image sent to a display
