RE: Possible Bug During Save Project
@CubeAce Hi Ray, I trust that you kept your pocketbook firmly attached, what with the Artful Dodger an' that. Last Saturday night with friends, we had planned on each reading a favourite poem or a bit of prose. Since you had mentioned Dickens and

RE: Ethical or legal dilemas of use of MEP with T&Cs.
Thank you John. So the first hurdle (for the want of a better term) is the word 'commercial' which would mean no moneymaking from the finished video or forward selling. No income from a YouTube video or similar for example if containing anything you

Ethical or legal dilemas of use of MEP with T&Cs.
My query concerns the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement. In particular these sections. 5.2 Contents a) In principle, the Contents - with the exception of Live Sets - may only be used for non-commercial purposes. This also

RE: Is freedb not available?
I also use MP3Tag, but mainly album art and some info edit. The CD info is not too good in my view. Today I tested NCH Express Rip. It works very well and you can customize how the file will be identified. I ripped the CDs then imported the files

RE: Any problems to expect if upgrading CPU/MB/ and operating system?
Exporting is becoming more or a dark art than I first suspected. Using the standard MPEG-4 codec in MEP and and using software encoding only I tried a different project that was five minutes 43 seconds and forty one frames at 50fps. Consisting of a

Menu Buttons
How can I change the active color of a menu button? Mine is turning black, very ugly. How do you change the behavior to the 'active' or 'hover-over' color to green or red or blue, something nice? Can one make the button invisible when it is not

RE: Exporting Movie To AVI - Advise Please
@Whalebat There are a lot of requests about how to export at best quality and which codec or bitrate is better but there is no specific answer. All we can say is there will be some quality loss regardless although whether it is visible on playback

Hello, I want to publish a site for arts, with plenty of addresses and similar film's names. Is there any way I could use the Microsoft Access or Excel to create a database, instead of repeating the same details over and over again? If not, what

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
There are many variations to ambient sound. Typically you would record a general non specific ambience of the area you are in as an overall background, usually in stereo to give space. You could then record sounds that are specific to the shot in

@FelixDunn Hi Felix. There is no ultimate best way. Try both and see which works best within that mix. A lot will depend on how the ambient acoustics of the track you wish to place into the soundscape blends with the ambience of the track it's

@steveunkles @steveunkles Hi Steve, Definitely try it out first. My 30 day trial has come and gone. I'm still debating on whether or not to upgrade. I have the same version of AML Premium as you, I believe: 22.2.0.53. Here is the list of

NVidia 960M
Hello I'm looking at a used Asus laptop that has an Nvidia 960M video card in it. I realize it's not up to the current state of the art (by a long shot) but I'm trying to find out if VProX will use hardware acceleration with it. If so, I'd consider

RE: Automatically adjust all clips' volume to the same perceived level
Hi, Ditto what Jeff and CubeAce said. Audio, like video, is a science, but adjusting it is a black art. There is no automatic adjustment that will do it right. I am definitely not an expert on this, so the others may jump in here. I use VPX, so in

RE: Mixing audio for YouTube, DVD and MP4 File Playback
@discburn Every 3dB you reduce, you are halving your volume. A reduction of just -1dBm should be sufficient to stop clipping. Using some sort of hard limiter will stop the volume from reaching that, but audio mixing is an art in itself and relies on

RE: How to adjust the Graphic Equaliser
I would say it depends on what you are altering. A voice may need a different amount of attenuation or boost at different frequencies to say that of a high hat. Do you want a natural sound or make it sound like it's coming through a mobile device?
