@Philip-Hall Hi . . . . Maxwell DVD+R . . . . I presume you mean Maxell DVD+R. I would suggest you try a different brand as I have had many issues with Maxell discs in the past. eg Verbatim or Ritek. Personally I use Ritek DVD full face printable

ZZZ I am using Dynex DVD-R 16x. Attached default gives option to use PAL. I thought that the USA had a different format for DVDx. Also the only option other than Blue ray are for CRT TVs, which are almost nonexistent in the USA Again thanks

@George-Felton Hi George . . . . CD button, Only other two choices are Blue Ray which I do not have Use DVD-R disk . . . . From the above you are creating the wrong type of disc, ie a Video CD (VCD) - this format is not supported by many DVD players

For what it's worth the little documentation the external drive came with, it says it supports " CD format: DVD -ROM/-R/-RW/+R/_R DLCDA CD ROM/-RW, VCD. I uninstalled and reinstalled PhotoStory and it still does not recognize the external drive.
