RE: Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
@Craigster Hi IIRC mp3 compression is a constant compression technique the only thing that changes the compression ratio is the bitrate - which is not as complex like video which requires more complex techniques then audio to maintain quality. . . .

RE: Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
That depends on what the edit/render cycle is - these files are a compressed format and every time you re-render them you lose a bit of quality.   This gets to the heart of what I wanted confirmation on. I'm an audio guy. I know what I'm dealing

Collaboration with Premiere Pro editors - best export/import settings
In this "stay at home" Covid-19 era, I am working in VPX while my primary collaborators have Adobe Premiere Pro. We have been exchanging files back and forth, exporting as MP4, full HD (1080i, 1920x1080, 29.97), via h.264. Is this optimal? Is this

RE: Why are videos suddenly shortened by x seconds
@FF22 Hi Do you get any messages about gaps when exporting gaps? Are you mixing different frame rate mode video, ie variable frame rate (Pixel video?) with constant frame rate video (Panasonic & Osmo?) and also at different frame rates? If so

RE: Phantom audio "track" or some audio remnant.
Other than those "proxy- WAV" files mentioned above, is there a way to find and exterminate any other proxy files. I don't have enough years left to restart this project (g). Integrating files from three sources was a pain. Since I forgot to set the

RE: Moving/slotting images and transitions in Timeline Mode
@FF22 I would have thought that amount of free space would be more than adequate. I wish I knew what MEP does internally. I have a stills editing package where if I have too many images in a folder the Editing package tries to load all of them into

RE: Moving/slotting images and transitions in Timeline Mode
BROWJ2: Thanks for the reply. First, how did you get that great quality on Youtube? (g) As far as size/length, I guess I was hoping the new Magix could handle it. In the past I have kind of edited the "slide" show in two or three parts making moving

RE: Moving/slotting images and transitions in Timeline Mode
@FF22 Unless you have a simple project with mostly just photos, no music, no overlays (PiP), few titles, do not use Storyboard mode, use Timeline mode. You have to be able to see what you are editing. I have audio and video on separate tracks. I

CubeAce: Thanks. It may not be that old but *I* am! Desktop system. C: and D: both 1T. I think Windows set the Page file. You know I have not looked at that type of thing in ages. The current USB is hanging off the desktop. It is 5T. That's where

@CubeAce Hi Ray, Always make sure that backups are done and working. I will follow my own advice in the future. I suffered a failed HD last week. It was the one that I use for extraneous project files, amongst other things. The last back up was in

RE: Audio sample is added automatically--annoying
Acid, Vegas, and Sound Forge are different applications for different purposes - not a "Suite" of applications. They each need a UI/UX tailored to the markets they target. So it's actually encouraging that MAGIX is willing to start breaking that

RE: "Cannot Open Waveform Device" Message
@k9vet Hi. I wouldn't try copying my buffer example as my PC specs may be way higher than your own. Try slight increments or try switching to another audio driver if you can't reach a compromise between not loading and smooth playback. I also notice

@browj2 Browj2: Thanks, that's it. These pictures were taken on a trip to Ponca in NW Arkansas near the Buffalo river 10/18. Samples of several properties indicate all were taken with a Nikon D5600 (as opposed to some with an IPhone). The first 69

Hi All, The Store takes about 30-60 seconds (much more on my nonupdated version on my laptop) to populate itself with the icons. No songs under the Audio tab today except for the 6 free ones. Interestingly, I have 95,457 items (1.12 GB)

@Scenestealer Hi Peter. Yes very nice intro sequence and seeing the timeline SS certainly explains the slow rendering, for the first 7 seconds anyway but maybe not for the simpler(?) talking head shots. It is certainly not untypical for intros like

@johnebaker Hi John. I don't disagree that larger fans are quieter and my fans are only 3" but they are very quiet and running on a monitored speed controller. If I'm working with no sound on in my room I can hear my smartphone text 'microwave ping'

@Scenestealer Hi Peter. I've heard the same things with other installs as well. There are several warnings with the bios which is why I'm leaving those as well as a couple of other Asus driver installs. I'm not so sure. MEP is using my graphics card

Back on topic, I think animated straight lines can often be a good choice to illustrate trips and routes of all sorts. Here's an example I've just made quite quickly, entirely within MEP, with no add-ins or external video tools, using a pair of KFs
