RE: Crash on importing ProRes video
@kvok Hi . . . . which codec to choose? . . . .  export the video to H.264 and then used Chroma key in MAGIX to get rid of the black background as a workaround. . . . . The Codec format on the Alpha channel videos I have that work as intended

RE: Crash on importing ProRes video
@kvok @johnebaker Hi I think the the only one that will work in VPX will be Uncompressed 32Bit (w/Alpha) AVI. I doubt Vegas Movie studio would support professional 10bit 12bit 444 formats. Be aware that VPX12 18.0.1.89 appears to have removed some

RE: Crash on importing ProRes video
Thank you for your reply. Since AVI is just a container, which codec to choose? Which one both supports alpha and is supported by Video Pro X? I tried Ut Video with no success. I also gave a shot to VP9 webm with the same result. So far I have used

@JyrkiTapani-Lehikoinen Assuming you're capturing VHS or similar with your Dazzle, we need to know what codec Pinnacle is using. Is your DV25 AVI file the capture file, or have you converted the capture to it? If Pinnacle is capturing as DV25, you

    RE: Program crashing
@Trevor-Smith I think Jeff's solution of using Handbrake is your best bet to reduce the file size for now. While the AVI uncompressed video codec is lossless it does produce huge files unless you know how to set up the parameters carefully for a

Thanks John. That did not work for me. On the image all MOV and MP4 do not preview in the Import window or in the Timeline and they do not display when I play my project. AVIs work so it seems like a codec issue. Not sure why 2020 worked perfectly

RE: VHS to digital via Firewire problem; MEP 2015
All, No, you can not improve picture quality purely by increasing the amount of data as you have already found, but, if you render your edited DV-AVI to a lossless codec like Lagarith or Huffyuv for archiving, the quality will not get worse. It will
