RE: Non-standard Export Frame Rate in MP4.
@CubeAce Hi Ray Thank you for your response. I've now spent quite some time with the Main Concept encoder, and at first I assumed that either the program settings or the clip effects (or both) were responsible for the inability of the encoder to

    Movie Studio 18
I have just purchased Magix Movie Studio 18 and was using 17. I am inserting video clips from my Sony FDR AX33B camcorder. The video looks good, but the audio is poor quality and not balanced in pan, the raw clip sounds great by itself in other

RE: Uncompressed AVI files give very large data rate
@jak.willis Correct. There is neither no gain or loss. Any 'lossy' compression codec means exactly that. Some information is irrecoverably lost. Even if you have a camera that records raw, if the camera is set up wrong and either over exposes or

RE: Uncompressed AVI files give very large data rate
@jak.willis Hi Jak. Because there is no compression. Each pixel will be recorded individually even if it's neighboring pixels has exactly the same 'setting'. Nothing is grouped or shared, so a frame that could have 'shared' 90% of its information

RE: How to install Cinepak codec.
@browj2 Hi John. This has always been a long term worry for digital stills photographers who want a safe format for archiving. Adobe committed to always having an open DGG format and cameras that can capture the raw output in tiff are both fairly

@DizzyFish Hi, This is not the Vegas products forum. See the Important Posts at the top of this forum for redirection, or click here. Check the Magix/Vegas website and the forum, as Vegas 19 can handle Red Raw files now AFAIK. John CB

[Closed] What 4K video file types does Vegas Pro work with? what 4K can it edit
What 4K video file types does Vegas Pro work with? what 4K can it edit? My video guy useds redd cameras and his raw files are apparently not supported. So he will need to convert them to a type of 4k file type vegas pro can work with. What is the

@johnebaker @kate-m I like sparring with John verbally as we often seem to have equally valid but opposing views and I think (hope) a mutual respect for the others point of view. I agree a camcorder is capable of obtaining a good stills image. I

@TjamzMusic all the above comments provide a lot of information for you. But you didn't really give much information on your background in editing, like which programs you've used in the past. There are differences between Magix (MEP or VPX) and

RE: Displaying video at the replay marker while dragging an object
@CubeAce @johnebaker Okay, so I guess the reason such a useful feature not having been implemented is the cost of recalculating the scene in real time while one object is being moved. But what if only the content of the dragged video-object itself
