  @emmrecs I think it's the right move. Especially that they took over the old team. The alternative would have been becoming a zombie application like Acid or Sound Forge.

  When I posed my question to ChatGPT, it recommended 1) Steinberg Wavelab Pro, Adobe Audition, and Acon Digital Acoustica Premium .  For client work its important to me that its a robust application that's professional, popular (not going to go away)

  @AJenn Like recommend by @CRH get an external USB audio interface with its own ASIO driver and connect a headset (or as a better alternative XLR microphone and audio jack headphones) to it. Anything else will get you into only similar problems.
