  annoying 3 beeps
  as of yesterday my sound forge pro 17 is emitting a 3tone beep every few seconds. The program was downloaded, is fully legal and worked fine since last January. What is the solution? adeade

  @Val-Stevens, if the files that are prone to produce the beeping sounds are lossy file types (MP3, AAC and such), You might try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in "Options> Preferences> General"

  @Val-Stevens This happens if you run effect plugins in demo mode. They will usually add a beep, white noise or set the volume to zero.

  As @SP. stated, one of your plug-ins is likely in a demo mode. Register or remove itIf you have the trial version of Sound Forge, that does not add beeps. After 30-days, it simply will not open without a valid activation code.

  Do you have the same problem with a 3rd party EQ plugin? The 'beeping' sounds most often means the VST is not authorized, It needs to be activated.

  I'm having an issue with one song that plays then cuts out

  Beeps are typically an indication that a third-party plug-in is not activated. iZotope plug-ins for instance must be activated individually on each PC. Assuming your iZ plugs were previously registered, log-in to your iZotope account. btw, welcome
