16.9 Photo

When I add a photo to the time line it automatically goes in as 4.3 format picture but I have to keep going into each picture and change it to 16.9 format is there anyway I could set it up to just go straight to 16.9 instead of each picture I add many thanks David

Set auto adjust new images to fill screen in the movies settings.

when you drop a bunch of photos you will get this warning. Just say adapt.

Beware it may not crop it as you wish it to be cropped though.

If that is the original Aspect Ratio (AR) of the photos then the behaviour is correct, you can either

do as @wongck has suggested

if the cropping is not to your liking either:
create your own 16:9 cropped version in an image editing program

or
Using Effects, View Animation, Size/Position, set the width to the same as the project - the height will automatically scale if the Maintain proportions option is checked - and then move the image up/down to get the section you want.
