You can, however it will cause issues, if you are working on the same project or different projects with common video/image/audio objects.

The first instance of the program will lock these files preventing access from the second instance.

So in stuff like Microsoft word you can open Word as a second independently running propgramme, not just a second window.

My problem is if exporting the video it can mean I cant do anything for 30 mins, and then if I need to drop in 4K and its creating a Proxy file that's another 30-45 minutes.

Where I could be working on another project.

Oh well if it cant be done it cant be done :-)
