Hi

Assuming you are exprting as MP4 - in the export dialog are you selecting one of the MP4 360 presets?

Check the Display all option is checked in the export dialog and select the appropriate MP4 format as shown below.

I tried it all so resorted to uninstall and reinstalling see if that works.

Hi

The issue you are having should not require a re-install which is a last resort option if the program stops functioning. There are other options and items that need checking and testing before even thinking about a re-install.

In your case a re-install alone almost certainly will not fix the issue permanently for 2 reasons:

  1. You must do a clean install - failure to do this usually does not fix many issues which have nothing to do with the problem experienced.

  2. You need to know what caused the issue as it is likely that as soon as you reload the project you could end up in the same situation again.

To help we need to know the Project settings, Export settings and video type ie format, resolution, 2D, 3D or 360 - a MediaInfo analysis of one of the clips used would help, program full name and version number and your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required.

Can you upload the exported file - not a video of the exported file playing on your computer.

Check that Films & TV is not set to play in 360 mode.

Right the exported file plays normally on here but plays in 360 on media player and it will not upload to youtube.

So could it be a problem with the media player which is playing it in 360?

The exported file is 15 mins long so not sure if it is too long to put on here here is a shorter version

Hi

. . . . So could it be a problem with the media player which is playing it in 360? . . .

The video looks fine here - though it may have been converted - I would suggest you remove it ASAP.

I have looked at your video of it playing on your computer again - the player is set to 360 - look at the bottom right you can see the blue indication that it is in 360 mode.

Why will it not get past Processing on Youtube if it is just the player there must be something in the program if it plays fine on here but won't upload.

terrypin wrote on 1/14/2021, 11:19 AM

@steveh3100 @johnebaker

Did you say where you got the original content? Are you sure you didn't capture it in 360 mode? If so the files would contain metadata indicating that, which might be the root cause?

I think I might have captured it in 360 I think I might have to start again this is what Youtube shows it never gets past processing 100%

Download and install MediaInfo and point it to the exported video, post the results from the Tree view (copy and paste) this will tell what is going on.

Hi

Thanks for the MediaInfo data.

The resolution and Aspect Ratio (AR) of the video, 1920 x 960 AR 2.000, is what I would expect for a 360 exported video.

However this does not tie up with the image you posted here of the export dialog which is showing 1920 x 1080 16:9 AR.

Try exporting the project again using the export preset shown in the middle image in your post above

I am using MEP 2021 v 20.0.1.73 - what version number is yours.
